Spent some time in Antigua when I was in the Navy. Postage stamp island 10 miles by 10 miles. Inhabited primarily by descendants of black slaves brought over by the British who granted sovereignty to the Island in the 60s I think. Nice little island, quiet beaches.

Chose your Caribbean location with care. Seems that a lot of today’s Caribbeans don’t like tourists, especially Americans.
Sort of like what areas of Spain are going through. Advice, until you know your neighbors, postpone your moonlight walks all alone, along the sandy beaches, while listening to your music. Even the American state of Hawaii can be a little dicey for non-Hawaiians in certain areas.
