DMSO: A remedy for respiratory diseases and lung conditions
expose-news.com ^ | July 25, 2025 | A Midwestern Doctor & Rhoda Wilson,

Posted on 07/25/2025 8:31:35 PM PDT by ransomnote

Chronic respiratory diseases remain profitable but poorly treated, subjecting patients to expensive healthcare, impaired stamina and painful decline.  However, there is an effective and inexpensive alternative: dimethyl sulphoxide, or DMSO.

DMSO is an “umbrella remedy” that treats diverse ailments through its therapeutic properties, including reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and reviving dying cells.  These properties uniquely address underlying causes of chronic respiratory diseases by reducing fibrosis and inflammation, restoring damaged organs and improving circulation.

DMSO also addresses respiratory infections through antimicrobial activity, reduced lung inflammation and potentiation of antimicrobial therapies.

Extensive published data and user reports demonstrate DMSO’s remarkable results for asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis and pneumonia, including cases in which transplant was no longer necessary due to significant organ recovery.

Introduction

Since childhood, I’ve known numerous smokers who had slow, agonising deaths from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). These deaths were often quite traumatic for their family and friends, particularly as patients became increasingly disabled from their loss of respiratory function.

Once I entered medicine, I saw the other half of this tragic story. I lost count of how many COPD patients were subjected to the same medical protocols – which they often couldn’t refuse because people will do anything to be able to breathe. They’d eventually get hospitalised for COPD exacerbations or pneumonia (common COPD complications) and before long, they’d enter a cycle of ever more frequent repeat hospitalisations until they died.

I later learned that the lungs concentrate a coating of glutathione (at levels 100 times that in other parts of the body1) to protect them from damage and that restoring this coating with nebulised glutathione could (without side effects) prevent further progression of COPD. Numerous studies in turn showed this worked2,3 particularly in COPD exacerbations4 and that in chronic lung diseases, the lung’s glutathione tends to be depleted.5

“Typically, 70% dilution from waist, down. 30-40% dilution, above waist. Again...depending on purpose/cause for treatment.”

Does “above waist” include finger joints?

Yes.

To begin with, anyway.

One vid I saw showed a guy using 70%, but, I think he’d worked up to that (no problems with the 30-40 dilution). He had arthritis in his knuckles.

There’s an old (1970s) 60 minutes vid (they try to bury it, now) with a famous football player (QB, I think) showing Mike Wallace how he uses it on his shoulders, before games. No idea what %, if any, dilution it was :)

Thanks for your prompt reply. OA in finger joints is my primary target for using DMSO (secondarily, neck pain unless it’s not recommended). I’ve got some 99.9% which I will dilute with distilled water, just looking for the right percentage.

Trace contaminants, lol. Get out of here!

What kind of bottle is the DMSO stored in?

Plastic? Have you ever opened a fresh, empty plastic bottle and smelled the inside of it. It smells foul. Plasticizers leech from the container into anything stored in it. Bad enough if it's just water and you drink it, at least your liver enzymes will process the contaminants and get them out of your system. But if that is DMSO with plasticizer solids dissolved in it, those chemicals have a straight path directly into your cells. Where they can interfere with cellular processes and even affect your DNA.

If the DMSO is stored in glass, then you are getting whatever was used to wash that glass during manufacture. Plus, whatever is in the cap/cap liner. Plus, whatever chemicals might be dissolved in the water used to dilute the DMSO.

Like I said previously, I used DMSO for years in the lab because it has the property of permeabilizing cell membranes and basically pushing anything you want inside the cell. When I would put DNA into cells for experiments, I used DMSO to push that DNA into the cells, because it otherwise would not have entered.

I used pure DMSO made by chemical companies with strict quality control. DMSO that's sold by some "alternative medicine" practitioner, of unknown purity and quality--you're just asking for trouble.

No, thanks.

I don’t feel like retyping, but read my reply #45 for the reason I will NEVER use DMSO as some sort of miracle remedy.

I am, in fact, a scientist. I only post on my area of expertise as a scientist. Which means that yes, I provided accurate information on Covid-19 vaccines. And I am providing my opinion of the use of DMSO, based on years of experience with the chemical.

I make it a point to make my posts as scientifically accurate as possible.

Thanks so much for posting this. Ex Texas Redhead has been a big promoter of DMSO as well.

A couple of months ago I got rid of the last remnants of shingles. It was annoying as hell and went down the right side of me mostly on my entire right arm.

I took some mild pain pills but they were basically useless. I don't recall how I found it but I ran across a piece on DMSO and tried it.

It did offer some relief. Enough so I used it over and over. The overall shingles lasted for months and can be far more worse than mine was. But, I was super glad when the final lagging symptoms finally went away.

I was wondering if DMSO can be taken mixed with water or something like that. Is it possible do they make a version that can be taken orally? I think that would really be a great solution.

That’s how I used mine.I mixed it with water and applied it with a paper towel on the skin. I keep thinking it would be really potent if taken orally. But, once again I build fishing rods and never had a chemistry class and don’t know what mixes with what in the human body.

according to the link the mix for dmso should be between 5 and 10%,as I recall I used a much more potent mix than that. I guess it’s hard to say how each individual will react to using
DMSO at various levels.

The problem with many doctors is that they seem to have that "GOD COMPLEX"

in that they can only chat with others in the profession never the patient.

. I did pin one down however. A well known specialist who refused to get into a discussion of the shots. Seems he knew the truth but also knew admitting it to a patient was potentially dangerous for him. So he opted to never chat about it.ANd told me not to bring it up again.

Love dmso. Been using it for a while. Recently hyperextended my right hamstring. Bruised from my butt to my ankle. Used a combo of castor oil/frankincense oil on the bruise, followed with dmso gel about 10 minutes later. It will be 4 weeks tomorrow and the bruise is all but gone. When the muscles in my thigh get tight I massage straight dmso into the muscles. Works great.

Here is an example of her cyber- fellation of Fauci. Its disgusting.

“Dr. Fauci is highly respected among the scientific community. As a scientist, he is almost a superman-over one thousand publications when a scientist who has 200 publications is considered a very prolific worker. And he did this while heading up a large agency, the NIAID. When I was supervising just 100 people, I never had time for research. But Dr. Fauci managed it. It is because he is an excellent scientist that he was selected to head up the NIAID and then was tagged to lead the response to Covid.
‘The awards that Dr. Fauci has won are well-deserved. He had a very difficult job leading the pandemic response to a novel virus no one knew anything about. It’s a shame his efforts to control the pandemic were actively undermined by professional charlatans and Russian and DNC trolls.”

Somewhere in the literature I reviewed recently, I saw some positive things said about using DMSO to reduce the symptoms of tinnitus. Do you have any experience or information on that? I would assume that it would have to well diluted and then inserted with a dropper, no?

When I did a search now, I found this reference to a paper from 1975....

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1055561/

“Dimethyl sulfoxide therapy in subjective tinnitus of unknown origin”
A Z Caro
PMID: 1055561 DOI: 10.1111/j.1749-6632.1975.tb25389.x

Abstract

In fifteen patients affected by essential nonvibratory tinnitus, local applications in the external auditive canal of 2 ml medicated DMSO spray were made. The spray solution contained DMSO integrated with anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory substances. This application was repeated every four days for a month. At the same time each patient was administered a daily intramuscular injection of a preparation that contained DMSO and a vasodilatory component. The therapeutic effect was evaluated through the subjective modification of the symptom and functional tests of the auditory system. Of the fifteen patients treated, the tinnitus symptom completely disappeared in nine, and did not return during a one-year observation period. The patient’s symptoms diminished in two cases, and in four cases the permanent tinnitus became occasional, triggered principally by environmental cold. It is important to note that among the concomitant signs, the five patients with vertigo noted improvement. Hypacusis diminished in three of the six patients affected. Insomnia disappeared in eight and diminished in seven cases. The rise in the average tympanic membrane temperature from 36.8 degrees C before to 37.9 degrees C after treatment was noteworthy. This could indicate an improvement of the blood flow in the inner ear.
