I doubt the yacht did NY thing more than scratch the paint.

Old aircraft carriers have a 10-20" solid steel torpedo belt at the water line and below.

I correct myself, the midway In terms of the actual hull thickness, it is noted that the hull started at about 1/4 inch, but after several deployments, the thickness could increase due to paint and non-skid applications, potentially reaching up to 24 inches.
