Interesting. 30 years ago, I stopped my boyfriend’s brain tumor(oligodendroglioma) with the anti nausea drug thalidomide, which was taken off the market. Took weeks of preparation internet research to find them.
I had to get it through a group of gay guys in San Francisco who were able to get the government let them have it.
The mechanism for was to stop the blood supply that feeds the tumor. The deformaties of babies were because limbs didn’t get a blood supply.

Perhaps with less nausea, they were able to ingest more nutrition.
This should have a beneficial effect on the body’s overall survival rate.
