Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Prince of Darkness and one of heavy metal’s most iconic stars, has died. He was 76.
He died “surrounded by love,” his family said in a statement to The Sun on Tuesday. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

He didn’t make my world worse. He made it bearable. Nothing a little Over the Mountain couldn’t cure!!!
Yeah l know exactly what you mean
Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all
Or if he moves, will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We'll just pass him there
Why should we even care?
Now we know the answer. RIP
At least turn to steel in the great magnetic field...
RIP Ozzy
I thought of him just yesterday, when I saw an FR article about how The Alamo was going to purchase and display Pee Wee Herman’s bicycle, because it was featured in a scene shot at the Alamo.
I remember Ozzy Osbourne becoming famous (or rather infamous) at the Alamo also....
Yeah... he went back with his son a couple of years ago and found out he never urinated on the Alamo. They arrested him for DIP, but there was never anything written about him urinating on the building. He was very happy to hear that, like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
Some where bats are a bit more at ease today....
No More Tears
Here is one of those characters whose obituary was written in draft form by most media outlets more than four decades ago.
Wonder if he knew his time was short and put everything into that last show, and that sapped whatever was left.
Sounds correct.
Thing is, they was some talk about perhaps them doing an album in the future, so who knows.
RIP Ozzie but I have read many accounts how Sharon and Ozzie would rip off their support musicians. Would refuse to credit them for songwriting and other contributions. They were cold exploiters of their musicians
The band I was in — way back when — played some Sabbath. I never cared for it, but it was popular.
Well one time I played Black Sabbath at 78 speed, and then I saw God!
Creative folks draw creativity from the complexities troubling them
It’s relief I think
But you’re right
There will be scolding jackasses here
Always are
Always have been
Empathy or sympathy cost so much personally
More than some here can ever bear
Cheech and Chong, let’s make a dope deal.
“Our judges agree, they roll really big joints, too.”
big bambu?
The only one I know about is the Daisley and Kerslake issue with Blizzard and Diary that went to court and got dropped because they were enlisted as studio musicians and were never under contract to receive royalties. Sharon, vicious thing she is, had those two albums re-recorded with a new bassist and drummer as a great big Eff You to both those guys, which she got sued for. Other than that, I’ve never heard anything about musicians getting screwed by Ozzy or Sharon. She sure as heck flew some lawsuits, but they were usually to protect his brand and business. She makes pit-bulls look like poodles. Scary woman.
