Can anyone tell me why we are deporting illegal aliens to other country prisons and not just imprisoning them here? And what are we giving the countries we are deporting them to? It can't be finality of the action because we could not bring them back since we have brought some back.

Probably cheaper and more scary
Trump is transactional. Some other countries offered to take them off our hands. The US is paying room and board but a Salvadoran prison is way cheaper than a US prison.
Plus if they do get released, they won’t have to be deported.
Because we can.
I don't remember what show I stole that line from.
Do you really want to put 40 million people in jail here?
Since they are not American citizens, they should be sent back to a prison in their own country.
But since countries (like Mexico or Venezuela) would most likely just set them free, we “farm out” the job.
(pun intended)
Some of them are being transferred from our prison to theirs because they are in fact criminals in that country, who fled to the US.
But in general, it’s cheaper than a US prison and we need to both cut costs and make room for the criminals being picked up by ICE right now.
It also serves as an incentive to self-deport because it’s obvious Trump is serious and not just making threats. Leave on your own or risk being sent somewhere you have no control over.
I believe other countries are taking some of these folks because their original countries don’t want them back.
And the US doesn’t want them here.
So, for a fee and a nice gesture of goodwill and a friendly relationship with the most powerful country in the world, they gladly accept them.
I’d say foreign countries taking the world’s trash off the USA’s hands are more an ally than those countries who pretend to be.
South Sudan is worse than any American prison
That’s true.
Money
Granting of rights as if they were citizens and the bastardization of that by the left.
It also limits access to US legal system meaning there are not endless claims about, well, everything.
The Venezuelans we sent to el Salavador earlier in the year because initially Venezuela refused to take them back. I noticed that recently those Venezuelans were finally transferred to Venezuela from to Salvador, and in return Venezuela sent back some UAs citizens that they had been holding hostage.
I am cautious about the Venezuelans TdA gangsters because they have strong ties to the Venezuelan military and they will probably not be held in a real jail so could try to return.
Hopefully the taste of Cecot in so Salvador will deter them but Trump’s only going to be here one term. When he is retired we could end up right back in the mess the open borders pro drug clowns put us in.
Once they are deported outside the border it doesn’t matter, we no longer have jurisdiction, it is just a matter between the home country and whatever country they are in at that point. IOW, none of our business.
Looking at most the comments, Y’all missed the one biggie; In another country’s prison, they are out of reach of the Liberal legal system in the USA.
There aren’t many many “Tranny’s” in Salvadorian women’s prisons.

If we imprison them the Demoncrats will just try to have tax payers pay for their appeals to be let loose. Just send them to prisons outside the US and send the Demoncrats who whine about that along with them.
Good point.
Send them back to where they came here from. If Mexico let them in, let Mexico do the next step.
Why should we keep people who aren’t supposed to be here?
