The Russians launch roughly 800 Shahed drone copies at Ukraine pretty much every day.

Ukraine shoots down all but 5% to 15% of them.

That means about 40 to 120 Shahed drone copies can go where they are intended to go daily.

The Shahed type drones carry a warhead:

“Warhead weight 52 kg (115 lb) and 90 kg (200 lb) options”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HESA_Shahed_136

Kiev has about 320 square miles, so that is about one targeted 115/200 lb. drone warhead per 2.5 (320/120) square miles per day.

If one also includes the shot down drones that explode on Kiev, that might amount about one 115/200 lb. drone warhead (targeted/free fall) per square mile of Kiev per day.

Very interesting video. The biggest problem mentioned is that the drones cost $30,000 to $50,000 a piece and the patriot missiles used to shoot them down cost $3,000,000. The US and Europe do not have the capability to keep the Ukraine supplied with enough missiles to keep preventing high percentages of the drones from reaching their targets.

These are not like the little DJI Drones that Congress wants to ban here. The Iranians are producing ten times as many as they did last year.

“Ukraine shoots down all but 5% to 15% of them.”

Shoots down with what? They are lucky if they shoot 10%.

The production rate of Patriot was 350 missiles per year in 2023, supposed to increase to 550 by 2027.

less than 1000 drones. china is laughing.

striker drones would be the hardware manufacturing equivalent of a motorcycle.

china produced 19m+ motorcycles last year.
and they weren’t trying.

the winner of the next war will be the one who can produce the most drones.
and our manufacturing base is sorely lacking.

Laser defenses will change that.

No typically 200-300 Geran drones a day
Recent spikes of 535 then 700 were both records

Last week when Kieth Kellogg was In Kyiv these numbers fell drastically

He left yesterday and last night at least 400 were launched

Russia continues to expand production and is expected to reach 500 a day by the end of the summer and up to 700 by this winter

Many of these are the newer version with the warhead increasing to 90kg up from 50kg and with a faster airspeed

And No one believes Ukraine eliminates 90-95% percent of them
These are numbers released by the Ukrainian Air Force

Ditto for the percent of missiles they “shoot” down

These are larger drones for strikes deep within Ukraine

These don’t include the many smaller battlefield drones

“that is about one drone per 2.5 square miles per day.”

There’s a problem with your logic. They aren’t targeting every square mile just certain targets.

Last night
Last night, Russia carried out an unusally large Geran-2 drone attack on Odesa City. At least 26 drones attacked the city, with most of the impacts taking place at the warehouses next to Shkolny Airbase. NASA FIRMS data picked up large fires burning there as seen in media 3 & 4.

If the Russians take Odesa, that will join the western front at the Moldova border with the eastern one on the Russian border that everyone seems to have only been focusing on. Both fronts are in Ukraine territory appearing to be slowly and continually heading inward. If Russia opens another front from the north from Belarus after that, it may be over for Ukraine. Russia is the one playing offense, Ukraine defense and you don’t win playing defense.

Name the others.

I did that recently, and even supplied dated quotes substantiating their pro-Russian orientation and, for my troubles, I was then ordered to provide links.

Further, someone demanded that the moderators delete my post - so it was ultimately all for nothing.

That’s right, because it was a dirty violation of this forums rules. I’m surprised you weren’t banned outright.

Did Ukraine lose their human shield, General Kellogg? I heard he spent last week in Kiev.
