@gc22gc

Rep. MTG: The American people didn’t ask for this war. Or this debt. They don’t want to fund mass death in Ukraine. This is an unwinnable war. Over 1.5M killed or wounded. An entire generation of men wiped out. Americans want peace not murder.

"In a split test, more Trump voters now favor continuing to give weapons to Ukraine.

Baseline, they support it 49-36.

When we say it was Trump's decision, they support it 65-22."

The latest polling suggests 65% of Trump-backers support giving arms to Ukraine.

In 1990, GHWB had something like 90% support for Operation Desert Storm. Less than two years later, he was thrown out of office.

In 2003, around 75% of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq. By 2006, it was recognized as such a disaster that the Bush family name has become poison in U.S. politics for at least the next hundred years.

NATO is paying for this war??? Who pays for NATO...mostly the US Taxpayers. What a mess. What a joke.

The Euros need to step up for the first time in many decades. The US taxpayers are soaked both by NATO and by the pathetic always-meddling CIA.

...and to think that the Ukraine is not a NATO member so we have no obligation to fund them or to fund their society (retirements and so forth).

Sorry, but NATO is going to begin buying US arms for Ukraine.

Ten bucks says the U.S. sells no more than a fraction of what is being promised. The leaders of most NATO countries have no interest of ending up on the wrong end of a Lindsey Graham con game on behalf of his defense contractor employers.

Comparing two military campaigns where thousands of American troops were put in harms way on the other side of the planet with selling Patriot Missile systems to NATO is absolutely crazy.

No such thing as an unwinnable war if your people’s will to fight is greater than the will of the enemy’s people to throw their kids into battle. Everyone who tries to undermine your will is the enemy. The Ukrainians have no choice but to fight- it is fight, or watch your families be raped and brutalized and be exterminated. The Ukrainians have suffered this before, from the Russians. They know what happens under occupation, especially to the defenseless.

The battle goes to the persistent, not to those with overwhelming force, as we saw in Vietnam, which was lost in Washington, not on the battlefield. Usually the victor is whoever doesn’t have fake virtue signalling “pacifists” stabbing them in the back, gullible people who mistakenly think there will be peace and not vendettas and massacres and invasions of still more countries if they lay down their arms.

Not going to happen. The main difference in Ukraine is they are defending themselves. In Iraq we kept seeing on the nightly news, what US serviceman was killed that day. Of course with the Obama election, that all suddenly stopped.

Not ONE US soldier is injured or killed in Ukraine.

Educate yourself, Yanukovich ran on a pro-EU platform, and when elected, changed his mind after a meeting with Putin.

“Over 1.5M killed or wounded. An entire generation of men wiped out.”

Almost all of them Christian. Now ask yourself who is really promoting this war?

No, these are NATO members in Europe buying the weapons, not NATO using its general funds.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who has been working with European countries to coordinate the purchase of US weapons, said Germany, Finland, Canada, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Denmark would be among the buyers to supply Ukraine, and noted that “speed is of the essence here”.

Talk about a fake poll.
The “only” backers are the few pathetic zeepers who talk big about the war, but not one of them is actually in the holy Ukieland to fight for their strong beliefs and convictions or has given on red cent of their own money to the Zelensky regime.

Funny thing is.... besides them, I don’t know anyone who acually supports this insanity.

The factual count in everyone of these related threads here proves your war propaganda absolutely false. The only one you are fooling is yourself...

Now ask yourself who is really promoting this war?

Putin, who was offered all sorts of concessions for a ceasfire, but refuses to stop invading Ukraine. Even Vice President Vance, definitely no fan of Ukraine, said Putin is demanding too much.

Vance says Russia ‘asking for too much’ in concessions, while Trump says decisions ‘have to be made’ soon - May 7, 2025

It's the cowards who talk big, know it all, and never get their own backside anywhere near this war.

I’ll take scientific polling by legitimate companies over the group-thinking cranks who have been posting on this site for years. You may want Putin to stroll into Kyiv. I do not. I’ll just have to live with the fact that you don’t agree with me.

--- "Talk about a fake poll."

The poll, since the URL was provided, was by a "Republican pollster" in DC, and comprised less than 600 people. Done well over a year ago. Since both MTG and Graham are nominally "Republican" and yet disagree on this completely, trying to say a tiny poll represents the party much less the nation is just good, old-fashioned push polling.

That comment relying on the Ruffini poll failed to note the details, nor the methodology including hypothetical.

Bringing this back to MTG's statement, "...every single Democrat voted to fund the war in Ukraine."

With the photo-op of Graham standing with Blumenthal and Warren in Kiev, one may well conclude that many of those comments above in the thread also "stand with" Warren and Blumenthal" ans "every single Democrat."

You write, "Funny thing is.... besides them, I don't know anyone who actually supports this insanity." We know three in our neighborhood who "stand with Ukraine" and oddly they all were Harris-Walz voters.

“I’ll take scientific polling by legitimate companies over the group-thinking cranks who have been posting on this site for years.”

What legitimate companies? Link me... Those who are owned by BlackRock, Vanguard, or State Street? The very same Corporations who also happen to own the Military Industrial Complex? You are either a propaganda representative for these Corporations, or you are invested in these Corporations, or you are a useful tool of ignorance who can be easily manipulated.

Yep!
LOL!!! 🤣😅😂🤣
And the number of brave armchair general zeepers acually fighting for their beloved homo dictator is still at ZERO.
Even the coward dictator Zelensky himself is very rarely in his own country.
The little worm 🪱 prefers to hide out in other countries. 😂😂
