If this were reported in Polite Baguette I’d be skeptical.

But Rude Baguette, they’re always credible.

"Glorius, exalted leader Pooh has led us to even more unmatched technological advances which will bring the people's Republic glorious victory over the decadent, weak, capitalist pigs!"

That a decent summation of this cheese eatin' surrender monkey, Sino butt-licking, article?

🚀 Chinese scientists have developed a groundbreaking carbide ceramic that withstands temperatures up to 6,512 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is a big deal if it is true. It will certainly make a better reentry heat shield than what they are using now.

Are you sure they didn’t just spay it with PAM? I am so sick of these White Monkey post about boisterous claims filter thru the CCP that China has some new cutting edge technology only to find our its years or even decades old stuff.

Retired aerospace engineer here.

We researched similar materials in the 1980s. For example, hafnium carbide was one of the heat shielding materials we looked at.

We had problems. How do you attach such shielding to your vehicle? Can the fasteners withstand the temperature? Will the fasteners transmit the heat to the vehicle structure? What insulation can be used?

It’s a complex set of problems.

As for Chinese engineering, yes, they have limitations as a group. But they have some brilliant people as well and graduate a lot of engineers yearly.

Never underestimate your opponents.
