Stevie Wonder addressed the long-standing rumor that he isn’t actually blind during the Cardiff, Wales, stop on his Love, Light and Song UK tour.
“I must say to all of you, something that I was thinking, ‘When did I want to let the world know this?’ But I wanted to say it right now,” Wonder, 75, said as seen in an Instagram video from a concertgoer on July 10.
“You know there have been rumors about me seeing and all that? But seriously, you know the truth.”

There was once a blind contestant on American Idol. Ryan Seacrest famously tried to high-five him.
I have been Wondering about this for years.
i want to say its’ around 2000....my wife and i are flying to Los Angeles on a connecting flight through O’Hare in Chicago...Stevie Wonder was on the flight from Chicago to LA...
He’s in the first row of 1st class...two things stood out to me 1) he is a big, broad shouldered dude 2) he was slightly bent over in his seat “staring” at the blank wall in front of him, as though he were watching a movie, head not even moving...
I looked for him after we got off the flight but he was gonzo...
