The Department of Justice has called on the Supreme Court to reject an appeal by Ghislaine Maxwell to overturn her conviction.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 over her links to Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier who died by suicide in jail in August 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges. Maxwell was sentenced for recruiting Epstein's victims and is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Tallahassee, Florida.
In April, Maxwell submitted a plea to the Supreme Court to overturn her conviction. She said she was covered by a non-prosecution agreement made between Epstein and the U.S. government in 2007 regarding his other co-conspirators.
But the DoJ argued in a new filing that Maxwell should not be covered by the agreement.

Never know if she is telling the truth. She wants a very reduced sentence
FTA-—In April, Epstein facilitator Maxwell submitted a plea to the USSC to overturn her conviction claiming she was covered by a non-prosecution agreement made between Epstein and the US government in 2007 regarding his other co-conspirators.
But the Trump DoJ argued in a new filing that Maxwell should not be covered by the agreement.
Reference: Maxwell was convicted in 2021 over her links to Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide in jail in August 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.
Maxwell was sentenced for recruiting Epstein’s victims and is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Tallahassee, Florida.
How does one reconcile her conviction and the recent announcement re dropping the investigation into Epstein’s list, etc.?
Hint: you can’t.
Well she wasn’t sex trafficking to anyone so just let her out.
This is the opposite of what I was expecting the Trump Administration to encourage the Supreme Court to decide.
Maxwell has been ready to disclose data for years, but there were no serious takers stepping up.
She has a solid case.
EVERY woman who testified against Maxwell had sex ONLY with Epstein.
NONE of the women who testified against Maxwell had sex with any one on the Epstein Client List.
In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to two sex related state crimes in Florida. He was also required to pay about 25 women cash compensation in exchange for dropping any sex related crimes.
That’s odd. Epstein didn’t have victims or clients.
Get Real....what about Virginia Guiffre?? There are others, too. Your TAGLINE shows you are an ANTI-TRUMPER!
That’s odd wrt Ghislane. Epstein is known not to have had victims or clients.
Very odd.......snx.
Epstein did not commit suicide.
I don't see that tagline as much anti-Trumper as reminding us that it was closer than the word "landslide" implies. IOW, the mid-terms aren't a sure thing and it's no time for complacency.
You’d think she’d have backup evidence somewhere and getting that out shouldn’t be that hard.
They were two evil people. He’s dead, she’s doing well deserved time. Good riddance to both of them
Giuffre is not credible.
She claims to have had sex with Prince Andrew three times.
From Day One of her accusation, Prince Andrew stated he has never met Giuffre before.
The photo of Prince Andrew with his arm around Giuffre, and Ghislaine Maxwell in the back ground, has never been verified.
In fact, it is a photo of the alleged original photo. Where is the original photo? Unknown. Also, Ghislaine Maxwell says the photo is a fraud. Giuffre never submitted the photo to the Police or to a civil court.
In fact, Giuffre refused to file a criminal complaint against Prince Andrew.
Giuffre agreed to a cash settlement before the case went to court.
Prince Andrew and the Royal Family admitted no guilt. They paid an unknown amount of money into an organization, created by Giuffre, that claimed to help young women who had been trafficked.
Sorry, Ann Archy. Swing and a miss!
How can you convict her of trafficking if you cannot produce the people she trafficked to?
Yeah.Every person pays off an accuser.....yeah...right.
They paid 12 million to Giuffre.
Both Bongino and Patel say he did. Are they lying?
