Sir Thomas More's head could be exhumed 500 years after it was parboiled and put on a spike on London Bridge.
St Dunstan's, an Anglican church in Canterbury, Kent, where the remains of Henry VIII's lord chancellor lie, has launched a bid to have them unearthed and placed in a shrine.
More was beheaded at Tower Hill in 1535 after he refused to acknowledge the monarch as head of the church following Henry's break from Rome.

The head should be transferred to a Catholic Church not what More considered a heretical church.

Agree.
A parish that fights for Truth. A parish that fights for the little ones at a nearby abortion child sacrifice mill.
He was a little 9ne fighting the entire nation. Even the Catholic Church bailing bishops abandoned him.

Yeah I’d say preferring to lose your head over saying “Ok, Hank, you’re the boss” is a “principled stand”.

I believe you were pointing that it was much more than a
“principled stand.”

I agree that his head should be kept at a Catholic church.

"The head should be transferred to a Catholic Church not what More considered a heretical church."
Same thing with Cardinal St. John Fisher who was put to death on June 22, 1535. He now lies in The Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula within the Tower. His body was initially buried in the churchyard of Allhallows, Barking. His head, after being on display for weeks, was thrown into the Thames.

Not sure but it is said that More’s daughter requested to retrieve his head and was granted permission.

I read she bribed the bridge keeper or the man who was supposed to take it down and throw it in the Thames. Either way, she could have been arrested for retrieving it.

Yeah I thought the article’s use of the term a little understated.

I wasn’t thinking of it being on display. I agree with you. I thought of it being buried in a crypt in a church.
