Curry powder is 50% turmeric.
A few weeks of all those lifestyle changes show nothing about garlic and turmeric.
There was an article on Epoch Times (pay-walled, so I didn’t post) that showed just being PATIENT increased the length of telomeres, which consequently would cause slower aging.
I guess I’ll have to get used to the taste of green tea. Blech!
Anyone know what supplements help with methylation?
LOL!! Too late for me.
They have people stop eating and drinking a damaging diet, and feed them “grass” for six to eight weeks and they get healthier?
This is my surprised face.
I read somewhere, that to get the most benefit of turmeric you have to eat it with black pepper which contains piperine.
That’s all I know — black pepper was all I needed to read :( but a search of “turmeric, piperine, pepper” ought to dredge up more info.
The byline to the linked story is hilarious:
“Turns out, what’s on your plate could be more age-defying than any cosmetic procedure.”
Turmeric works. This sounds almost like my diet.
I’ve been taking a half level teaspoon a day (from Costco) for the last 18 months. I always used black pepper and Italian seasoning. A couple of years ago my near daily pasta with tomato sauce just turned into a sausage and vegetable stew because I like it. Sometimes I use ground beef. Before any vegetable goes bad, I dice them up and throw them in the freezer. Throw everything in a covered pot with a little water and cook it for about 20 minutes and you’re done.
I switched from drinking Coke to drinking fruit juices without sweeteners. I try to drink milk daily. In the summer I make enough sun tea for the week. I use Lipton black tea.
I’m 74 and can again jump up into the back of my truck, get up off the ground, put my legs into one of those little cars without using my hands, and shop with my wife at Costco. About 6 months ago I started eating yogurt and I hate the taste of Turmeric, so I mix it in with the yogurt. I no longer have to be near a bathroom.
I haven’t quit eating anything, I just like my stew. I did notice that when my daughter was gone for 10 months, not eating take-out made me feel better.
I still drink alcohol at night and the longest I can sleep is 6 hours.
I work all day long in the yard every day and would wake up with a sore this or that. Sometimes the pain would slow me up for months. But now I’m more active than I was 15 years ago.
Some of the things I take every day.
No grains, no legumes, no dairy, no alcohol. No thanks.

Stopped reading right there................😏
Too much turmeric can lead to nose bleeds.
