Michael Madsen, the rough-and-tumble actor best known for his work in the Quentin Tarantino films Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, died Thursday morning. He was 67.

Madsen was found unresponsive by deputies responding to a 911 call at his Malibu home and pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m., a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter.

“67 used to seem very old. Now its not too far around the corner.”

I turned that corner 11 years ago. Still doing the yard work, see maintenance, riding my bike, traveling and enjoying my lead foot.

“Now it’s not too far around the corner.”

You youngster, you!

It’s receding in the rear-view mirror for some of us.

He had some good roles. Then he beat himself up pretty bad with booze and drugs for a while. May he rest in peace.

He was in one of the most underrated movies of the 1990s: “Beyond the Law” with Charlie Sheen.

I just turned that corner. Just don’t let the old man in and it is much better.

Kinda amazing Madsen made it that long. He was a wild dude. It’s what kept him from being a bigger star than he could’ve been.

Anyhow, RIP Mr. Blonde, a legendary performance.

Anyone contributing to the great Quentin Tarantino’s classics is a worthy person.
