The jury finally reached a verdict earlier on Wednesday when it comes to all of the counts against Sean "Diddy" Combs. While he was found "guilty" on two counts to do with the Mann Act, he was found "not guilty" on the RICO count and two counts of sex trafficking. Combs and his supporters were celebrating, but he's not going free just yet.
According to one of the latest live updates from The New York Times, Judge Arun Subramanian denied him bail and has ordered Combs to still remain in detention until sentencing, which is still to be determined. The 55-year-old Combs could still face 20 years in prison, though he could have faced life in prison if found guilty of other charges.
Live coverage from CNN's Jake Tapper regarded the update as coming as a move the judge made "rather shockingly" and noted it was "a surprising development," even when the reasons for bail being denied were still coming in.
The updates also include some commentary from the prosecutor and Combs' attorney.
One update focused on how Mann Act violations are still serious crimes:
Maurene Comey, a prosecutor, said that the law holds that someone convicted of the Mann Act should be detained. The only things exceptional about him. Ms. Comey said, are “his wealth, his violence and his brazenness.”
“There is nothing exceptional about this case except for his continued criminality,” she added.
There's also updates to do with Combs' attorney. "Marc Agnifilo, Sean Combs’s lawyer, is speechifying now, telling the judge that Mr. Combs has been a model prisoner, has children who have been without a parent — but it’s not clear for what purpose, as the judge has already ruled about bail," read one particularly candid live update from inside the courthouse.
"'He is a man...

Just damn! LOL!
Does he have any appealable issues? I haven’t followed the trial. Otherwise, he has been convicted of two violations of the Mann Act, transporting women across state lines for prostitution.
If he gets ten years, thats almost a life sentence at his age.
The Mann Act?! LOL.... what is this, the 1920s? The Mann act? I can’t stop laughing. This was a law written back when someone smuggled a Model-A full of flappers to a speakeasy across the state line.
How in the hell do you get caught up in THAT throwback of a law?
Omygosh. I can hardly wait for this to be FReepslained to me.
Ask Trump.
Yes, guilty of the more minor charges,
but the worst charge has yet to be decided.
Jury (literally) still out.
Ask Trump.
Obviously, regardless of whether he was guilty of anything, they went after him for a reason.
It’s spelled with two n’s.
Convicted of the Mann Act, in New York City, by Judge Arun Subramanian, for a bunch of California parties. And the Epstein list is still secret, the DC Madam List, the DC Chinese brothels of 2023, all of that is secret and buried away.
But they got P-diddy! American justice, 2025.
Sometimes, I stop and wonder if the blacks are right about unequal justice.
Um...because you did it?
Trump? This case started in 2023 and was well underway with FBI raids and an arrest in the spring of 24.
That’s why I spelled it with two n’s.
Tip of the hat to the judge for denying the scum bag bail.
His 34 felonies. I was meaning that they used a law on the books in a way to just get him.
Yes, Diddy is an immoral criminal. However, he was left alone to do his thing. Whomever he crossed decided to try and put him away until death.
No worries. President Mamdani will pardon him in 2029.
No Delbert...I have not smuggled women across state lines for immoral purposes. Also I have never made moonshine, or smuggled rum in from Canada in small speedboats.
I guess somebody has to protect the wide eyed waifs. Can’t expect a 21 year old woman to be responsible for her own decisions!
The law or a man should clearly step in. I notice that none of the fallen women sex trafficked face prostitution charges! lol
That would mean taking responsibility or something.
I’d wager that he knows something about the wrong person. The US government doesn’t give a tinker’s damn about stopping sex parties...
