After deliberating for more than 12 hours, the jury in the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs said Wednesday morning it had reached a verdict on all five counts against the hip-hop mogul.

The 12-member panel sent a note on Tuesday afternoon informing Judge Arun Subramanian that it had come to an agreement on counts two, three, four and five — which include sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution — but was unable to reach a verdict on count one: racketeering conspiracy.

“We have reached a verdict on counts 2, 3, 4 and 5," the note read. "We are unable to reach a verdict on count 1 as we have jurors with unpersuadable opinions on both sides.”

From the testimony I read, I don’t think the government proved its case.

Sean Combs is a dirtbag and has engaged in conduct that can only be described as evil, I did not see sex trafficking proven in the testimony.

His “freak offs” unless they have proven children were involved, which I didn’t see, involved consenting adults.

He may get convicted on some charges, I wonder if the government might throw the case to cover up some of the prominent people involved.

Looks like a got an OJ jury that “didn’t want to put yet another black man in jail.” That, and he has $$ and good lawyers.

I’m mostly opposed to laws to protect people from themselves (i.e. making felonies of prostitution, drug use, etc), but as long as those laws are on the books, they need to be enforced consistently. If a pimp who isn’t rich and famous serves 10 years behind bars for human trafficking, then a pimp who happens to be rich and famous should do the same.

In other words, even though they're responsible for 50-60% of violent felonies, we won't have "equity" until only 12% of the prison population is black. At the rate they're getting cases dismissed or alleged "sentences" of probation and time served, we'll get there soon, at the price of having most of them back on the street to prey on others.

Unfortunately even some Republicans are playing this game - Trump recently pardoned a street thug rapper with a record that includes armed robbery and attempted murder (for which he only served 2 years).
