@RandPaul

Thanks to @FBIDirectorKash, we now have the electronic devices Dr. Fauci used during the COVID pandemic and throughout the first Trump administration. Now, it’s time to find out what was on those devices.

I referred Dr. Fauci for prosecution under both Presidents Biden and Trump, and now I’m gearing up to subpoena him to testify under oath in front of Congress. Stay tuned…

Pass the bill and maybe you can get some credibility. Until then, your a Democrat who wants to raise taxes on the working class.

People that dislike him will simply claim this is a waste of money, a dog and pony show, and nothing will come of it.

I do not know - I HOPE at least some of the truth comes out and even if folks don’t get burned changes are made to where this can’t happen so easily again.

It always comes back to the same thing though, limiting government powers.

When you give politicians the power to abuse FISA for their political advantage, guess what they do? When they can abuse the IRS to go after their opponent, guess what they do? When they can use the CDC for political games guess what they do?

Oh great. More dog and pony show. Ooooh, he’s going to testify under oath... How many times has Fauci already testified, and lied, under oath. Sorry, I’m not a trained seal. This no longer excites me. Call me when (never) Fauci actually gets held accountable. At minimum, take his pension. Confiscate his ill-gotten gain. Nah, just more bread and circuses.

I don’t agree with every single one of Paul’s positions but in general he is principled, a conservative and best of all one of the few to hold the big spending republicans feet to the fire.

All this inflation is/was mostly caused by overspending.

Nothing’s going to happen to Fauci as a result of Rand’s showboating, so Rand might as well STFU and let serious people deal with Fauci. How about Rand concentrating on fixing his sh!thole state that comes in nearly last for schools, healthcare, etc.? That goes for Mouthy Massie and Grifter Mitch.

Political theatre..

What happens if Fauchi admits to EVERYTHING in a hearing?
Then what? Congress is going to arrest him?

NO.

Until FBI charges then frog marches him out, in cuffs, and raids his house, it is all just theatre.

I asked Grok to name five times congress has “investigated” something that led to actual convictions. Guess what #1 is?

1. Watergate Scandal (1972–1974): Congressional investigation into Nixon’s campaign led to convictions of 48 officials, including John Mitchell (perjury, 19 months in prison) and H.R. Haldeman (conspiracy, obstruction, perjury, 18 months). Nixon resigned.
2. Abscam FBI Sting (1980): Congressional probe and FBI operation convicted six Congressmen, including Harrison A. Williams (D-NJ, bribery, conspiracy, 3 years) and Michael Myers (D-PA, bribery, 3 years).
3. Teapot Dome Scandal (1922–1924): Senate investigation convicted Interior Secretary Albert Fall for bribery, sentenced to one year in prison, first Cabinet member jailed for crimes in office.
4. House Banking Scandal (1991–1992): Investigation into overdrawn accounts at the House Bank led to Joseph Kolter (D-PA) convicted of embezzling $40,000, sentenced to six months.
5. James Traficant Case (2002): Congressional ethics probe and FBI investigation convicted Rep. Jim Traficant (D-OH) on 10 felony counts of bribery and racketeering, sentenced to eight years, expelled from House.

Neither have I. Fauci’s “pardon” was issued by a signature machine. He’s still eligible for prosecution as a mass murderer.

Oh boy!! Can't wait for the results. I'm sure it will be a real doozie.

For all the bitching Rand does about there not being enough cuts in the budget, why is he wasting even more time and taxpayer money conducting yet another Fauci investigation? Surely by now with all the hearings he's held he's got enough to refer Fauci on criminal charges to the DOJ.

Oh wait!!! He already referred him in 2021, and again in 2023. Does he think third time's the charm?

"People that dislike him will simply claim this is a waste of money, a dog and pony show, and nothing will come of it."

For somebody who is always crying about wasted tax dollars, Rand seems to like to waste even more time and taxpayer money holding unending hearings on Fauci. He already referred him to the DOJ twice. Where have those referrals gone? Surely they're still sitting at the DOJ.

So why is he holding yet another hearing and wasting taxpayer dollars?

You are joking right?

It costs about 50,000 to host a high powered hearing With all the assorted staff etc.

Our current debt is 36,000,000,000,000+ dollars. When the reason for the hearing is to reduce debt that makes zero sense.
