The body of a man who went missing in Lake Arcadia was recovered on Sunday.
The Edmond Police Department said a man and a woman were on a boat in the lake near Central State Park on Saturday. The man, unable to swim, jumped into the water to cool off, but the boat began to drift away.
The woman did not know how to operate the boat, according to police.
Edmond fire and police officials deployed search boats on Saturday to locate the man. After several hours, the search transitioned to a recovery operation, which was called off overnight.

Anything is possible, but sounds much more like a Darwin Award than criminal act to me.

Thats rationalization, not the natural order. Laughing at someones deathly misfortune because they are a guy is not merely “the natural order.”l

Laughing at someones deathly misfortune because they are a guy is not merely “the natural order.” People's misfortune is literally the basis of all human comedy. Your feewings are irrelevant.

He jumps in the water without knowing how to swim. She can not figure out how the boat works. I would venture to say... one or both had been drinking.Excellent detective work there, HTB!

This wasn’t a schadenfreude situation. They did nothing to anyone else to bring about other people feeling “shameful joy” at the deadly outcome.

Well, it might be some other drug but it tends to be booze more often then not.
You don't even have to be that intoxicated to bring human stupidity to the fore. And while being drunk in your apartment or around (most) other people is fairly safe Mother Nature is a ruthless old biddy. And around open water? You are toast. Soggy toast.
