Progressive New York Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani is outperforming former Governor Andrew Cuomo among the state's wealthiest voters in the New York City mayoral Democratic primary race, according to new polling.
The latest Yale Youth Poll, conducted with YouGov among 645 voters between June 17 and 23 with a margin of error of ±5 percentage points, shows that in the final round of voting, Mamdani leads Cuomo among voters with income over $100,000 by 20 points, with 60 percent to Cuomo's 40 percent.
Newsweek reached out to representatives for Cuomo and Mamdani via email for comment.

The article also defines “wealthiest” as making 100k. 32% of New Yorkers make over 100k. So do the math, if you have the capability.

I’m saying when you blame 9% of the population for the ills of society there is a strong likelihood you are the one with the problem. 9% is not picking the mayor, and the 9% definitely is not the driving force behind Mamdani. His support is largest among Asian (79% support Mandami), and there are twice as many Asians as Jews.

NYC would not look the way it does except for their outsize political impact since 1920 when they were 1/3 of the population.
The so-called Neocons are the rise of what the rest of us thought were maybe a group of people coming to their senses and not embracing suicidal statism or immigration ideas. But their overreaction to Trump’s anti-immigrationism and so-called “isolationism” - which really mean’t not getting involved in Israel related middle eastern conflicts - shows that their “conservative” side got overridden by the Neo side pretty fast.
They may be only 12% of the NYC population now (not 9% as you backed off to) but their influence is far more significant then that raw population number: Bloomberg, Soros, Fink, the list is endless. Those are monetary heavyweights that dictate party policy.
