To be fair, Elon and many others were the same way but Elon was an outright Democrat. At least Marco Rubio & Ted Cruz did eventually back him for the 2016 general…

From what I can tell, Levin seems to be a very bright person. However, his performative commentary is exhausting. Levin is usually angry, ranting about this or that while offering zero in terms of remedy. I don’t pay attention to him anymore.

It’s interesting to go back and see what people said years ago.

In 2016, many people on Free Republic did not support Trump for the nomination. Now just about everyone here loves Trump. People’s opinions change based on events which happen.

And J.D. Vance called Trump “America’s Hitler” in 2016. So what?

I don't trust him either.

But I held my nose and voted for him, and was then pleasantly surprised when I found out he actually meant what he said, and thus earned my trust and support.

Thanks for posting. Levin is SUPPOSED to be our in-house “Constitutional Scholar”, yet he was willing to support Skunk Cabbage in the 2016 election (and didn’t change from that position for months, until his ratings came in).

I suspect pretty much everyone here had worries about Trump in 2016 and I had some. BUT we all knew what Skunk Cabbage was going to do the country if she won, so, like most Republicans, it was an easy choice.

For Levin, the best that I can come up with is that Trump played HARD BALL against Cruz, and Levin couldn’t forgive Trump for that...to the point of damning the country to be another South Africa (at least until his ratings came in).

Sorry, but I hold “Constitutional Scholars” to at least my level, and Levin isn’t even close (I had no problem deciding) - so he can go to hell as far as I’m concerned.

but once trump attained power, despite the neoCONs doing everything they could to stop him, the evil neoCONs couldn’t wait to worm their way into his administration.

As far as I know Mark Levin has been pro-Trump since 2018.

Fox News’ Mark Levin minced no words in his latest denunciation of his ex-colleague Tucker Carlson, deeming him “the Happy Hooker of politics” in a long post on X.

Levin and Carlson have been engaged in a protracted war of words over the last month and change, mostly over the debate over whether the United States should strike the Iranian nuclear program, which President Donald Trump eventually decided to do — to Levin’s delight and Carlson’s chagrin — over the weekend.

After Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran on Monday, Carlson wrote the following in a post promoting the latest episode of his show: “Thank God Trump brokered a ceasefire. That’s the last thing Mark Levin wanted.”

Levin responded with fire and fury on Tuesday morning.

“What’s left to say about Chatsworth Qatarlson [Carlson] that he hasn’t already said about himself. He has had more positions on Iran and Israel than you can count — the Happy Hooker of politics — but has wound up supporting a terrorist regime that has murdered and maimed thousands of Americans. His preposterously hysterical warnings about what would happen if the president acted militarily against Iran’s nuclear sites were illustrative of his unhinged bravado,” began Levin.

“He uses his platform to promote antisemitism, former KGB colonel and mass murderer Putin, the Qatar terror regime that was behind 9/11, trash Winston Churchill — one of the world’s greatest defenders of democracy against one of the world’s greatest mass murders Adolph [sic] Hitler, rewrite American history to condemn America, and the long list goes on. It’s all public. He’s very proud of his depraved insanity. Qatarlson has been a liberal, a libertarian, an actual neo-con, a conservative, and today just a simple reprobate who has much in common with Bernie Sanders and Rashida Tliab [sic].”

I listened to Mark Levin podcasts almost daily from 2008 until 2016. I just couldn't stand Levin's negativity toward Trump, even AFTER he secured the GOP nomination, so I switched to the Mark Davis podcast, where I've been since.

I didn't support Trump in the primaries, but supported him in the general, as he was the last person on earth standing between Hillary and the Oval office. Why couldn't Levin see this?

Eventually, Levin came around and is now one of the president's strongest supporters, but he should have caught on sooner.

This is wearisome. Levin has supported Prs. Trump fully since Sept. 2016. Fully.

So what? Are voters not pure enough if they were not with Trump in the escalator beginning?

Mark Levin: I won’t back Trump in the general (Flashback)

Big deal, Trump and Reagan among others once were in lockstep with the democrats.

Many Republicans were concerned about Trump in 2016. We were not sure how he would govern. Now most of those Republicans support Trump.

Maturity is constantly evaluating data and using the results of the new analysis to check if any positions need to be modified. I fell for Trump instantly, but I respect all those who came to him slowly. And even if their analyses lead to temporary queasiness, I trust that their continuing evaluations will bring them back to trusting his instincts and his decisions.

C’mon, man! Levin has been solidly pro-Trump since the 2016 general election. And he’s got company such as Michael Barry who was way more negative toward President Trump and now is a big supporter. Glenn Beck, no favorite of mine, has come around.

I thought I held grudges you guys don’t let anything go. I’m just waiting for somebody to bring up that Rush wasn’t 100% the way people wanted him to be behind President Trump because I know I saw that back then.

It's an exercise in futility dragging up past positions. Irrelevant. I've followed Mark for years, and sometime he infuriates me. But he is on the MAGA train; what happened in the past means nothing.

Levin is a washed-up has-been with little influence and no power, so what he thinks is irrelevant, then and now.

Levin was behind Rick Santorum in the 2016 run, way past the due date so to speak and Trump was way ahead of anybody else. Over my damned dead body would I ever vote for one of The Great Compromise candidates, I hardly ever say something nice about the sellout republicans but they haven’t directly put a president in the WH from the senate for over a century.

Haven’t listened to that blabbermouth since then, Mark has great intelligence but lacks in the common sense ideals. Notice the dems almost exclusively pick from the senate. Loser McCain was a perfect example of a compromising sellout.
