A thump keg is used in distillation to perform a secondary distillation, increasing the alcohol content and improving the flavor of the spirit. It utilizes heat from the main still to re-distill the liquid, making the process more efficient and effective for producing high-proof alcohol.

I don’t nor ever have distilled. I was studying to make craft beer, though.

I brew my own as well.
Try this recipe
1 can mount mileck light
1 quart honey
Bottom fermenting lager yeast
Use a very light hops
You have to ferment at 55* for about a month but it’s worth it
