That is great.
I read it every so often. I give copies to friends. The first half doesn’t lose its impact. The second half is great for general thinking about life.
I think he is hilarious. Yes, power bills are high, excessively high in some areas. But, there is not much we can do about it. Being lighthearted and laughing is a much better way to deal with it than becoming bitter and miserable.
Nevermind the beard. His humor is ok. It’s his obvious weight. For his own good he needs to lose at least a 100 pounds.
I stumbled across a video the other day of a guy reading Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy like he’s a Shakespearean actor. This guy needs to be in film if he’s not already:

First place thereâs no logical reason for it. It is illogical
is this what they call a non-sequitur?, or perhaps ad-hominem?
That was fun... turning something ordinary into a comedy piece. Here’s another one along those lines... A comedienne named Lou Wall turned a Facebook Marketplace transaction into a ‘mini-musical’ and presented it at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HXFurHCkP8
Hilarious...
Good/funny video.
But on a serious note, could his bill really be that high?

âI see a beard like that and I am done.â
Guess Duck Dynasty made you break out in hives & become catatonic.
Check out âTruck Astrologyâ with Jerry Wayne, you wonât regret it!
Some FReepers in the deep south have implemented solar and/or made their homes more energy efficient (insulation, variable speed heat pump, hybrid water heater, etc.). The math doesnât work for everyone to do it. But itâs worth everyone at least doing the research to see if itâs feasible for him/her.
ALL those 48” & LARGER TV’s take a tremendous amount of power.
AIR CONDITIONING ALSO.
Keep pampering yourself & quit complaining
Apologies for the thread highjack.
Your man is clever.
Those big screens probably do take a lot of power. We have one screen but no cable service. We don’t watch TV and haven’t for decades. If we find a podcast or free movie we want to watch on the larger screen, we can hook a laptop to the “TV”.
However, I find that other than the AC, my clothes dryer is the worst at sucking up power. Our bill last month was less than $150 but it will definitely be higher for the next 3 months or so.
Living in the woods, we normally don’t turn on the AC until sometime in June. The last couple of weeks, it has definitely been needed. The humidity this morning was in the 90s and we’ve entered “damn hot summer” time here in Georgia.
This is absolutely brilliant! Thanks for sharing!
