AI is involved in your ability to simply post this message. You don’t see it, but it’s there.
AI is involved in telephone service - even a landline.
AI is used to manage the inventory at any store where you shop.
AI is involved in keeping your drinking water clean and delivering your electricity.
And if you should need surgery, it’s possible it will be involved there, too.
The list is endless now. We already depend on it.
The US, and other parts of the world, are also defended by technologies that incorporate AI, and this will be increasingly so in the future:

People on this site seem to think that AI is only in things they can see - like ChatGPT, or customer service chat bots.
It’s already inextricably involved in our everyday lives.

Not even close. I either dial it myself or use my contact list. I type all of my texts myself.

This one I can believe. They are always out of my Blue Bell Southern Blackberry Cobbler Ice Cream.
AI is involved in keeping your drinking water clean and delivering your electricity.
Call me dubious. I've tried giving up water instead opting for fermented probiotic hops enriched health drinks. And I buy my electricity in buckets, same as everybody else.

That'd be a welcome change from Dr. ShakyHands McGoo. Any surgeon with palsy and tremors should be replaced.
I market at an independent grocery store, which gets deliveries from 1) local farms and orchards, by real live people, as well as some kind of other company, which happens to not be as good as the one that was being used previously 2) we also by produce directly from local farms.
As far as I know, all recent surgeries have been done by actual human beings, with NOTHING at all to do with any form of AI at all!
Oh come on...AI might be involved with a lot of things that other people do/have; however, I avoid it like the plague ( and I'm talking BUBONIC, not the CCCP FLU! ) whenever and where ever I can!
Yes, I know that there is something ( not really full blown AI ) involved when I'm on the laptop; however, I don't even use it for all THAT much.
