Kamala can’t get a call back.
California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom reportedly didn’t even pick up the phone when former Vice President Kamala Harris called him this week about the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles County.
The former vice president “wasn’t able to connect with her longtime political friend and rival but left him a voicemail to express support,” a person close to her told POLITICO’s California Playbook.
A voicemail? Oh girl.
She also called Los Angeles Democratic Mayor Karen Bass. Wonder if she had to leave them voicemails, too? (snip)
Democratic strategist Steve Maviglio thinks Harris may be “eyeing Newsom’s rising stock as she contemplates her next moves,” according to POLITICO.(snip)
On Sunday, Harris endorsed the protests, claiming they have been “overwhelmingly peaceful.”

By the way, it’s not just a California governor bid Harris is supposedly mulling. Harris’ circle thinks she might actually try for the White House again.
You know, the candidate who failed to win a single swing state or the popular vote. But sure, why not!
In the meantime, she’s still trying to get a call back.

IIRC when she was in the Democratic primary 2020 she did not get a single delegate.
