News broke late Thursday of a massive Israeli strike that killed several top Iranian military leaders and targeted key facilities. Secretary of State Marco Rubio scrambled to clarify the U.S. position, insisting the attack was a unilateral move by Israel and that America had no direct involvement.
But Trump was already on the phone with a handpicked group of journalists, offering a very different message. He praised the strikes as “excellent,” made clear the U.S. had foreknowledge, and didn’t bother with diplomatic ambiguity. The U.S. didn’t pull the trigger — but Trump was riding shotgun, playing the eager sidekick without grasping the route.
Then came the fallout, not from Tehran — or even the president’s domestic political rivals — but from Trump’s own base.
What unfolded over the following 24 hours was the most serious fracture yet in the coalition that carried Trump to a second term. The MAGA movement, once a monolithic bloc, revealed a profound split between interventionist pro-Israel conservatives and a resurgent isolationist wing that wants no part of another Middle East conflict.
The most striking voice of dissent came from Tucker Carlson. The former Fox News host, now a high-profile independent media figure, sounded the alarm in his newsletter, warning of “impending war,” blaming Trump for being complicit and ridiculing the idea that the U.S. wasn’t involved in the strikes. He didn’t stop there.
Carlson torched his former employer and several old colleagues, calling out Rupert Murdoch, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin by name, branding them “warmongers.” In a blistering post

It's extremely frustrating to see this! Domestic and foreign policy turned on its head!
I'm with Tucker! SURPRISE!
Just watch
MAGA factions include people who are squishy.
They love to jump off.
Tucker is MAGA???
I am not surprised you side against Trump. As the Rand Paul loving a-hole of FR, you just like to stir the pot.
As long as we are not sending troops into Oran I have no problem with Israel defending itself. I am surprised true MAGA people have issues with that action.
Trump has never been nor ever promised to be the radical isolationist too many neo con reactionaries have insisted he was.
His first term was overwhelming and consistent clarity on these various matters but the anti neocon saber rattle rhetorically with all the fervor of Code Pink in every venue of US international security.
Watch Tucker’s metrics and see if perhaps they’ve peaked, and are now in a steep decline?
Minding your own business is the very essence of MAGA policy an antidote to the NEOCONS who cheer on war and death and endless interventions in the last 20 years
What else is it? Please explain
Tucker is right
No their not.
Somehow little Satan does something and Big Satan gets blamed..
Ice try Irandian
Tucker is not MAGA and he is not America 1st. He’s a wannabe influencer. It would be dereliction of duty not to help Israel with the large bunker busters that only the US can deploy.
There is confirmation of a nuclear program in Iran with documentation that they have hidden it from the regulatory body (see below)
How stupid could the US be to allow that program to continue within a Country that chants death to America & swear to eliminate the Big Satan. Sometimes people need to wake up and triage dangers. We don’t want a war but neither do we want for the cost of flying some bombing missions to allow these nuclear programs to be restarted and target us. This is not Afghanistan or Iraq. No boots on the ground are needed or contemplated.
For the want of a nail the shoe was lost.
Trump promising no wars? Ever? For US? For the world? The idiocy of such demands is astonishing. Tell Tucker to discuss “no wars” principle with his pal in Kremlin.
Pure horse crap!
Commie propaganda BS!
That was supposed to be nice try Irandian
More TDS propaganda from the OP?
Not surprising
🤦♀️🤦♂️🤦
(sighhhhh) Tucker claims Trump is on Epstein list in three...two...one....
What’s Israel supposed to do? Take a good look around at the faction of fools you’ve endorsed.
F—- you and all libertarians. Go away!
Have we got boots on the ground?
Have we bombed any Iranian sites?
Launched any missiles?
We seem to be minding our own business pretty well. And yet you attack Trump. Again.
This is the difference between Trump people and Walz people.
Them, you either follow the party line or you get shot. (cf. Minnesota)
Us, we dsicuss and debate, based on a set of first principles which are generally agreed upon but sometimes interpreted differently.
Trump has kept us out of war, and gave the Iranians every chance to avoid being attacked, which they decided not to take.
Israel surgically struck at Iranian nuclear facilities and leaders in order to save the world from a Russo-Iranian nuclear domination. They purposefully avoided attacking civilians, because they have nothing against Iranians.
Iran, in return, purposefully attacked civilians, because what Iran wants is dead Jews.
We’ve been through this too many times in history to act like it doesn’t matter. The bottom line is this: people who want dead Jews have to be made dead. If Israel is willing to do it for us, that’s the best option for us.
I expect you to disagree. What I don’t expect is for you to send an assassin after me because we disagree, because you won’t. That is the difference between Trump people and Walz people.
