In California - we have SO many chihuahuas in animals shelters (whose owners refuse to spay/neuter them) that they’ve been flown out to other states.
Ditto for pit bulls.
I have a friend that volunteers at three shelters and says that’s about all you see.
Sounds good to me. On Lake St. Clair, we use them as bait for muskies....

About 17’years ago a Chihuahua pup got dumped in our neighborhood and I grabbed her up. She’s still bossing us around. 😆
When we wanted to adopt a cat and went to the pound that's pretty much what we saw. Chihuahuas and pit bulls.
