Ronald McDonald is gonna be salty about this list.
In a new nationwide ranking from Seating Masters, based on over 40,000 Yelp reviews, one burger chain’s golden spuds are un-fry-gettable, according to WWLP.
In-N-Out Burger topped the list — scoring a crispy 3.86 out of 5 average across 25 locations.

I like both “In ‘n’ Out” and “Five Guys”, but am also partial to the “Steak and Shake”. (Very skinny) My daughter likes Chick-Fil-A’s waffle fries, if they count.
I think Five Guys fries are very good. Greasy, salty yum.
The 5 Guys fries, for sure, and our new favorite fries, from Penn Station subs. Never tried In and Out.
Five Guys...and Wendy’s are good too.I also like Wendy’s because you can substitute a baked potato for fries.

Five guys are sinfully good. Heart attack grade but so so good. I don’t eat them. Maybe once a year. They are that bad for you but that good. If that makes sense.
It’s personal taste
Not a fan of in and out fries but I love double double animal
No particular order
Culver’s
McDonald’s when fresh
Wendy’s 1970s style back then
Cook Out
Canes
Chick Fil a sometines
Not many places do fries well
5 guys has the best, then steak and shake.
>> McDonald’s... fries only mustered a 1.91 — second worst in the nation.
They did it to themselves, when they stopped using real lard.
When McDonalds used beef tallow... Their fries were the best.
For the marxist communist mostly-peaceful rioter, on the go. Doesn't have time to savor and sit down, and will have to eat quick between teargas canisters.
hahaha..funny. :)
Five guys for still being cooked in peanut oil, Bojangles because there chicken has made them fried food masters, although there are none in south Fl. and the local bowling alley for still having old giant cut crinkle fries still fried in the same frier as everything else. But as we all know, it’s old fashioned plain ketchup that makes the fries.
Yeah, I’ll be honest. Sometimes you can get a bad batch of IN N OUT fries. Hard. But when you get a fresh batch, soft and smoking.....they are as good as any. IMHO.....
I haven’t done fast food since 1997, so I’m gonna have to take all y’all’s word for it.
The potato is as important as the cooking oil. In ‘n Out uses kennebec potatoes I believe.
“....Five Guys has incredible fries too....”
Yes! and the bag is humongous!..............
Apparently, Popeye’s still uses beef tallow; their Cajun Fries are pretty good.
Julia Child thought that McDonald’s french fries really suffered from the switch to vegetable oil:

Five Guys has great French fries. I always ate some peanuts before my fries were ready. Their hamburgers were never any good. Fortunately the 2x Five Guys near closed down. So no more of these grease bombs for me.
Vinegar on French fries like the Brits do? This is ridiculous! Just give me the fries hot, crispy, salted/ And I will dip them ketchup 1-2 at a time
