Iran becoming 'much more aggressive' in nuclear talks, Trump tells Fox News

President Donald Trump told Fox News that Iran has become "much more aggressive" in nuclear talks.

"Iran is acting much differently in negotiations than it did just days ago," Trump told Fox News' Bret Baier. "Much more aggressive. It’s surprising to me. It’s disappointing, but we are set to meet again tomorrow – we’ll see."

Senior administration officials also told Fox News that Iran appears to be dragging negotiations on without concrete progress while pushing forward with its nuclear efforts.

This comes as Israel is growing more concerned it will have to act unilaterally to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

Iran, in agreement with Russia for 8 nuclear plants, will complicate plans for an attack.

They don’t give much thought as to what their last voluntary act will be.

We’ll see how safe their 350 foot underground labs are?.

Where to start...

1. 'Starting a war with Iran'. This would be like Mike Tyson in his prime fighting Steve Urkel. It would be over once the bombing echos subside. Two hits: we hit them and they hit the ground. Over. Done.

2. 'Stock markets/debt'. No impact (okay, on Day 0, the Dow would probably knee-jerk lose 1000 points. The next day it would jump back up 800+). The weaponry that would be involved is stuff already in inventory and/or budgeted (albeit that the budget is already more deficit spending, but it wouldn't make things any worse than not stopping Iran's plans). Beyond that, eliminating Iran's war-making capabilities would serve to stabilize the entire region and open up new economic opportunities... even with Iran, if the current government were to somehow topple as a result (wishful thinking: I'd give that a 10% chance at best).

3. 'Not allowing Iran 1 nuke when Pakistan has 100-ish'. Iran is an unstable wildcard and has a terror-supporting government. Of all countries with nuke capabilities, they are the most likely to use one (on my list, NKorea is second, Pakistan and India a distant 3rd/4th). Pakistan's reason for their nuke program is directly related to India's, and they've proven by now (over a 27-year period) that they aren't going to fire one off at random. Iran, however, is committed to providing support to terrorists and they want Israel -- and us -- destroyed. They don't play well with others... period. None of that should be in dispute. If there was any other though process going on in Tehran, negotiations would already have been successfully concluded.

Reports that Bibi told Trump directly “Iran is playing you” during their phone call yesterday, while Trump told Bibi to hold back on any attack. Iran is rejecting Trump’s deal that he worked out to for a Gulf Uranium Consortium to process uranium, and they will likely make a clearly unacceptable counter offer just before Trump’s June 14 deadline. Essentially, they are calling Trump’s bluff.

Pakistan ALREADY had a dozen regime changes and coups and dictators since created in 1947. We could not defeat primitive Afghanistan or North Vietnam.
War in Iraq was the biggest foreign policy blunder, giving rise to a ISIS and complete chaos in middle-east. I feel better knowing you will not be making decisions to start a war with Iran. But you do great job typing posts!

The WAR part was brilliantly executed, though morally questionable based on the lack of justification. It was Bush's insistence on "de-Baathification" and the resultant occupation and insurgency that was a disaster. GW's father knew it was best to win and walk away, rather than occupy.

Ok smart Alec. I laid out President Trump’s position. Not my fault, if your tiny brain can’t understand.

Why not? The tough foreign policy chief who wasted 300+ Wagner mercs who threatened US personnel in Syria and who blasted Soleimani is gone.

Ukraine gets hit by hundreds of missiles a day and the Russians mock Trump and Musk openly in their media and he does nothing.

He's also put the brakes on Israel a few times responding to Hamas and has reportedly blocked further strikes on Iran.

He's backed off on tariffs so often and so far he doesn't seem credible to the Chinese.

Right now, it looks to me like Trump v2 is going to be the worst foreign policy President since Jimmy Carter. The real mess will come afterwards.

PDJT just said he DOES NOT want to bomb Iran. He wants negotiations to continue. It helps to keep up with news.

Saddam was doing effective job of keeping all Islamic radicals in control. That is why it was a huge blunder on part of president Bush-43 to dislodge Saddam from power. Saddam did not send terrorists to USA. It was a bunch of Saudi nationals who executed 911. We paid a huge price by losing control of the middle-east and ISIS was able to gain power.

Korea war...nothing gained, communist regime ruling north Korea.
Vietnam... Nothing gained, huge loss of blood and treasure.
I visited Vietnam in 2014 for tourism. It is still communist.
Afghan war.. another war with nothing to show.
Iraq war.. created only chaos in middle-east
Ukraine war .. I see only increase in national debt, nothing positive.

I think it is high time to focus on getting our own house in order, deport illegal invaders causing trouble, and get a handle onthe bloated national debt.
