This 10-minute video posted this morning shows rioters attacking people, destroying property and even vandalizing police and government buildings and vehicles as the police stand by and do nothing. However, the federal government, under Trump's leadership, is fighting back, deploying the National Guard and arresting rioters for prosecution.

The video shows that several mainstream news reporters were driven off by the rioters, but Anthony Cabassa, a reporter for X, remained on the scene even after being hit in the eye with a projectile.

This truly is an insurrection. Leftist agitators and illegals who do not wish to be deported have decided to resist forcibly. That was always the danger in letting it too many people who did not have a legal right to remain. It's open rebellion against federal law, and the state/local government have chosen to tolerate the violence.

I'm not someone reluctant to criticize Trump when he does something boneheaded, but he's 100% in the right here. It is his Constitutional duty to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed.", and that includes using whatever force is necessary to carry out that responsibility.
