Thank you very much and God bless you.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
Today’s Challenge!!!!
Try solving today’s cryptogram one line at a time starting with line one. If you can’t solve line one completely, then go to line two and try to solve lines 1 and 2 before going to 3, etc. I will try and post the cryptogram in the future so they can be solved in this fashion.

Single letter words make it a lot easier.

Washington Post, Sunday, June 4th, 1944
Sources inside SHAPE HQ report that General Eisenhower has ordered the much anticipated invasion of Europe to begin tomorrow morning, weather permitting, Tuesday, June 6th at the latest. Various decoys and feints are in progress, to persuade Germans that the main thrust will occur at Pas de Calais, but sources tell us that actual landings will be at dawn during low tide in the Normandy region, at beaches code named, Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword, preceded by airborne troop drops into the rear areas the preceding night. The units involved are ...
... Reports of infighting between Field Marshall Montgomery, who felt he should have been in command of the landings, and General Patton have come from any sources, and Patton has been sidelined to lead a diversionary feint in East Angelica opposite the Pas de Calais ...
... German General Rommel in charge of the Atlantic Wall has decided to travel home to celebrate his wife’s birthday thinking the bad weather will forestall landings. However, secret British weather stations operating in the Republic of Ireland, without that country’s knowledge or permission, are sending reports to Allied meteorologists indicating a break in the weather, ...
Fun one, thanks!
