I almost hit a squirrel with my car yesterday. Chased it over two lawns and a flower bed before it safely climbed a tree.

Question: What animal will eventually become its favorite midnight snack?
The possum (they eat road kill!)

When I was young, living on the farm in rural Georgia, I ate road kill and liked it, especially if my Dad was the one that ran over it.
The Whites lived on the road at the top of the hill before at the bottom of the hill the old dirt antebellum carriage lane turned off on the left. About 300 yards down the carriage lane was our front pasture on the right. Glenn White had beagles and they were always running rabbits.
Good eating. Tasted like chicken but the legs were smaller.

A possum was on a bridge today. In other news, a bird flew over a man’s house today, and a bear sh#t in the woods.

I think they’re cute in an odd way. When we fed feral cats on our screen porch sometimes ‘possums would eat the kibble.
Then we had the cats “fixed”, and made them 100% house cats. No more ‘possums or raccoons.
