DOJ Officially Launches Probe Into Biden’s Autopen

A new investigation has been launched that could produce shocking new revelations about former President Joe Biden and his questionable use of the autopen. A growing number of individuals have decried the use of autopen signatures, claiming it is further evidence that the previous administration was aware of Biden’s cognitive decline and took steps to cover it up.

Critics claim the president was not capable of making final decisions on policies that would become law, thus someone whom the American people did not elect was leading the government.

A senior official within President Donald Trump’s Justice Department informed staff on Monday that he has received orders to launch an investigation into the clemency given to Biden in the final days of his presidency to both members of his family and inmates on death row.

DOJ pardon attorney Ed Martin penned an email obtained by Reuters that said the new investigation will look into whether the former president “was competent and whether others were taking advantage of him through use of AutoPen or other means.”

“An autopen is a device used to automatically affix a signature to a document. Trump and his supporters have made a variety of unfounded claims that Biden’s use of the device while president invalidated his actions or suggested that he was not fully aware of these actions. It is not known whether Biden used autopen on pardons,” Reuters explained.

In the email, Martin said the central focus of the probe will be the preemptive pardons Biden handed out to several members of his family, along with the clemency given to 37 federal inmates that spared them from the death penalty by converting their sentences to life in prison.

A total of five members of Biden’s family were issued pardons just before Trump took office in January 2025. The pardons were preemptive in nature, designed to protect these individuals from future “politically motivated” investigations.

The recipients of these pardons include three of the former president’s siblings: James Biden, Frank Biden, and Valerie Biden Owens, along with their spouses. On December 1, 2024, Biden pardoned his deeply troubled son, Hunter, who had pleaded guilty to violating U.S. tax laws and was already convicted of charges related to firearms.

Biden had once promised the American people he would not get involved in his son’s legal troubles and allow justice to be served. He said he would not use his pardon powers to spare his son the consequences of his actions. This turned out not to be true.

Martin’s email didn’t reveal which pardons of Biden’s family members were being investigated. It also didn’t provide any information on who gave the order for the investigation.

The investigation seeks to find out if Biden really intended to issue the pardons or if someone else took advantage of his cognitive decline to do so.

The Constitution provides the executive branch with the power of executive clemency and issuing pardons to remove federal criminal convictions and to commute or modify sentences.

There is strong evidence that Hunter used the auto-pen to pardon himself.

And when Pedo Joe found out - what could he do?

A person’s signature has constants, like maybe how he crosses his t’s. But signatures are rarely *exactly* the same.

It would be easy to check Biden’s signatures. If they are all exactly the same, that would be irrefutable evidence of an autopen.

But maybe those rascals are smart enough to use different autopens with slightly different characteristics.

🤔

Just the number of pardons precludes the possibility Joe was involved and approved them.

I think the cocaine they found was for president Biden when they needed him to be something vaguely looking like a conscious person. Probably one of the ways Hunter was manipulating his father.

Somebody needs to do a interview with Devin Archer to see how much influence Hunter bragged about having when he all wasted.

Re: "DOJ Officially Launches Biden Probe"

So, a half dozen government lifers, who voted for Biden, are going to investigate Biden?

The GOP never learns.

I believe the analysis has already been done. With very few exceptions, all the signatures are exactly alike. It appears 2 autopens were used with slight differences between autopens. The signatures were either autopen #1 or #2.

There are 3 articles at the Oversight Project - here’s the link to the first one:

Have you noticed since this auto-pen issue came up all the bimbos and pretentious 'men' of the press stopped talking about Elon being 'un-elected'?

Guess the little jerkoffs of the MSM knew the auto pen was an open play thing for their 'team'... just like they knew Biden was mentally AWOL...

If Traitorjoe was so mentally incompetent (and even got lost in his own closet) that he shouldn't be tried on various crimes according to Hur, then he was too incompetent to be using, or even know, that the Autopen was being used to sign official documents.

Any official document that was signed by the Autopen during the ChiComjoe regime needs to be declared null and void, and those who used it without Biden's knowledge should be arrested and charged.

She can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. What a waste. Along with the two humps at the FBI. They think we are stupid with their grand announcements about how they are gonna do something.

How about the FBI scum that was embedded with Twitter, Meta and all the other social media platforms? What about those traitors who denied Americans free speech? Have they been promoted yet?

Article: “President Joe Biden and his questionable use of the autopen.”

That is exactly not the issue.

The issue is not the way Biden used the autopen.

It is the way his staff used the autopen.

John Woo made a good point on Fox News this morning.

The only place where the Constitution requires a Presidential signature is when signing a bill into law. Grants of reprieves and pardons do NOT require a Presidential signature.

Autopens ARE used for signing proclamations, and the proclamations announcing the Biden pardons were signed by autopen. However, the proclamation was not the pardon itself; it was a formal announcement of the pardon.

This means that the legality of the autopen as it regards pardons is a non-issue; signatures are not required by the Constitution. However, there is still the question of whether Biden was aware of the pardons that were proclaimed under his name. If it turns out that pardons were granted by staffers without Biden's knowledge (or cognitive understanding), that's something that is worth investigating.

House Speaker Mike Johnson told the story of him questioning Biden on why he issued an Executive Order pausing new permits for liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, which had big impacts to the economy of Louisiana. Johnson said that Biden appeared confused and replied that he didn't do that. Johnson insisted that Biden had signed the executive order just weeks earlier. Biden said that he only signed an order to conduct a study on the effects of LNG, not to pause exports.

This raises the question of just what Biden thought he was signing or what he was told he was signing, or in the worst case, Executive Orders signed by staffers in his name that Biden was not told about. That is the point of the "autopen" investigation.

IF “cash exchanged hands” prior to the “presidential pardons”, then the real question becomes, “When was Biden paid, and who paid Biden how much” .

No so much “What did Biden know and when did he know it?” because .. .. .. Well, Biden couldn’t know anything at the time.
