Biden Thought that Russia Should be Destroyed — Brazilian Leader

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva noted that "Europe, which held a middle-ground position for some time, finally sided with Washington and now is spending billions to rearm itself"

PARIS, June 3. /TASS/. Former US President Joe Biden, while in office, said he wanted Russia to be destroyed, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said in an interview with French newspaper Le Monde.

Commenting on the situation in Ukraine, the Brazilian leader said that at first he had condemned Russia’s special military operation. He stressed however that "Western countries also bear part of responsibility."

"Joe Biden, whom I talked to about this at length, thought that Russia should be destroyed. And Europe, which held a middle-ground position for some time, finally sided with Washington and now is spending billions to rearm itself. That concerns me. If you keep speaking only about war there will never be peace," he said.

He also stated his readiness to support peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and recalled that back in 20024 Brazil along with China and 11 other countries had offered a peace settlement plan.

Putin will get his surrender, whether or not there are Ukrainians who are in position to surrender.

Well, I'm glad to see you also believe Putin is NOT negotiating in good faith, and just wants Ukraines surrender.

He was willing to negotiate in 2014. We rebuffed him and told him he was on his own. So, he is taking the actions of a country that is on its own while surrounded by hostile Western countries.

If the US was on its own, as it soon will be because the rest of the world is scheming a world without the US, would you expect the US to do any different?

The Russians were afraid of the Lithuanians? The Latvians? The Estonians?

Sure, AFTER Putin had already seized and annexed Crimea from Ukraine. The last time this happened in Europe, was during WW2.

surrounded by hostile Western countries.

Your ridiculously arguing that EVERY NATO nation would vote to invade a nuclear armed Russia, which has the #2 military in the world. Seriously?

Putin himself said he HAD NO ISSUES WITH FINLAND JOINING NATO. Why, if NATO is "surrounding" Putin?

No, Russsians are afraid of the West, as symbolized by NATO.

What were the Russians supposed to do in response to Western Nations surrounding Russians with their weaponry?

Were they expected to accept their eventual genocide by the West, where many people in the West would have been celebratory over the idea of 143 million Russians being extinguished, just to show the superiority of the West?

I personally view the West as being taken over by an evil spirit, who convinced Westerners that ever evil act is justifiable because the West is holy and sits next to God’s throne no matter what the West does.

Even Obama was convinced that Crimea belonged to Russia. However, having said that, that was still the time to talk to Russia about what needs to be done so they don’t go imperialistic.

I am arguing that NATO was eventually planning on invading Russia, yes. You don’t expand towards Russia and militarize for no reason. The only reason to do that was because you were planning on eventually doing a blitzkrieg on Russia and get it done as quickly as possible. There is no other reason for why the West pushed NATO eastward. No other reason exists.

Sorry, that's crazy. Invading Russia would very well lead to nukes being used.

There is no other reason for why the West pushed NATO eastward. No other reason exists.

How about protection from a russian invasion? No one "pushed", former captive nations were eager to join NATO.

Finland dropped 75 years of neutrality with Russia, because it realized its agreements with Russia were worthless, just like all the agreements Ukraine had with Russia.

1. TASS = Pravda

2. I would not accept without question anything the Marxist leader of Brazil says, on any matter.

3. Even the language of the TASS?Pravda report has the Brazilian leader using the Kremlin’s own language for Putin’s invasion - “Russia’s special military operation”, not the outright invasion it is.

Putin doesn't care about losses, and still will not negotiate in good faith.

Putin is still demanding Ukraines surrender.

The war will last for another 10 years.

Increasingly, it will be fought with drones.

Crazy or not, there is no other viable explanation for expanding eastward and posing a threat to Russia.

Russia could have been contained by pulling back, with a promise of eastward expansion if they did not hold themselves in check. Did we try that option?

No, we just expanded eastward and damn the Russians.
We provoked this situation. We caused it because our leaders had dreams of owning $75 trillion in mineral wealth dancing in their heads.

No. The Russians were afraid of US/UK military and CIA/MI6 stations in those countries.

You're completely discounting the threat Russia is to ITS neighbors as a possible reason for NATO expansion.

Finland is a perfect example. 20% of Finland was seized by the Russians in WW2 with Finland forced to sign a neutrality agreement.

As the leader of Finland would you continue to rely on those agreements after Putin shredded all his agreements with Ukraine to honor its borders or would you quickly join NATO?

TASS = Pravda

The interview was published in Le Monde. HERE is the link. It's behind a paywall but the interview is there.

You can doubt the truth of Lula's words but to make this about TASS is the calling card of a cretin.

No, obviously not. They were afraid of Britain, France, US who would have been the support of Eastern nations being part of NATO. The Lithuanians and Estonians and Latvians were nothing more than fronts for us to put our weapons right at Moscow’s front door.

I bet you think that everything the West has done and will do is with the hands of Jesus holding our hands and telling us to do that. 143 million extinguished Russians is what Jesus wants, because we think we are doing the will of God with our provocations.

I have no other explanation as to why you think it shouldn’t be considered provocative to park our weapons outside Moscow’s door.

Can you think of any other reason, other then planned elimination of the Russians, for doing that?

Oh, please. Quit re-writing history for your paymasters. Uk agreed to let Donbas go to Russia as they voted in the Minsk agreement. But, BJohnson and BeijingBiden installed the little pervert and then convinced him to preserve their access to money laundering and sex trafficking by violating the agreement.
Russia was justified.

If we were neighbours, you would not believe my words that I meant you no harm if I piled up my armaments along the fence line and had it pointed to your house.

However, you want the Russians to believe our assurances that we mean no harm when we are doing that to them.

US/UK military and CIA/MI6 stations in those countries.

Most of the US weapons and soldiers were stationed in Germany, with the US cutting back the numbers drastically after 1991.

We showed we weren't a danger to Russia by reducing troop levels.

Russian response, attack its neighbors(Georgia and Ukraine) and seize their land.

The number of U.S. troops stationed in Europe has fluctuated significantly over time, particularly after the end of the Cold War. In 1989, there were 315,225 troops, which decreased to 107,158 by 1995. By 2021, the number had further decreased to 63,853. In 2018, the number bottomed out at around 65,000

1. You assume too much when you say the Marxist Lula speaks the “truth”.

2. Le Monde is a Leftist venue and going all the way back to Reagan’s time known for presenting views close to the Kremlin’s.
