If Flynn knows this then Trump knows this. This is an utter disaster and now we know why Trump and Putin have said nothing. That it's a SALT requirement that these planes be out in the open so we can track them by satellite 24/7 means that a bunch of clever fucks took advantage of a nuclear arms control treaty obligation to target Putin's planes. This undermines everything we have done in nuclear arms control - and treaty monitoring and verification of these things is a big industry in the State Department, in civilian and military intelligence and in the DOE nonproliferation organization.

Everyone in the arms control community is going to be pissed off royally. Their life's work was just shredded. I personally know a couple of the ambassadors who negotiated these treaties.

Diplomatically it removes the presumption that everyone assigned to embassies around the world for treaty verifications are acting in good faith and using information gathered as confidence building and for no other purpose. There is now probable cause to harass them, dupe them, or evicting them and call them liars if they try to claim you are violating a treaty.

The Russians can now immediately start hiding their strategic assets. With this kind of loss they must.

So, Da Nanga and Linda are now in the frame for treason. They better explain themselves really good. Who in western intelligence and military was involved with Ukraine in planning this strike. Their careers are cooked and any of our allies involved are cooked. This utterly undermines our ability to negotiate and arms control treaty with anyone be it Iran or NK or the major of Londonistan. It makes US diplomacy a joke.

If it was our intel guys and military planners who helped the Ukrainians then they are toast and it will be a bloody purge from bottom to top no holds barred. God forbid it was a NATO ally, Five Eyes or anyone else we hold close and dear.

And it will surely make Putin feel more vulnerable causing the Russians to inch towards hair-trigger nuclear alert because they cannot afford another strike like this one.

I presume at this point Z is cooked.

It's like a supervolcano just blew up. You wake up and the world is a very different place and all the things you thought you knew you no longer know. Now what do you do.

Okay. The problem is these things get so layered that only some custodian in the State Department knows what is operative and what is old. But quibbles aside this is a diplomatic and military world order altering disaster.

May Russia finally lets Ukraine know who is the boss. This conflict must end!!
—————-
It will end when the US cuts all aid, washes our blood soaked hands ( senile Joe’s administration) and let it be decided on the battlefield. The EU and Zelensky is dragging us into war, they are a far larger threat to the US than Russia is.

I would like to believe President Trump knows this, and also knows we don’t have a chance against Russia and China- who will join in on behalf of Russia.

Agreed! What would we do if Russia was providing arms and intelligence to Canada or Mexico to hit our capital, strategic bomber fleet, nuke sites, etc.?

Well did we first invade Canada or Mexico?

All countries have the right to self defense from invasion

Gee, I can't imagine how I even missed that or that it happened under the Obama Administration and the Medvedev presidency in 2010. Perhaps I heard it and just wasn't really paying mush attention.

I'm glad I made that statement, otherwise, I would have remained clueless as to that having taken place, as I bowed out paying close attention, because politics is rather disgusting, and I just need a break at times. But I am still shocked that that I was that disengaged apparently, or my memory is worse than I believe it to be, which is also possible anymore. 😋

Suppose ... Mexico (and others) was: invading us, smuggling in drugs, its citizens mooching our welfare system, sending its criminals, etc., etc., playing dumb and doing nothing to address these aggressions ...
except saying it would oppose any efforts on our part for redress?
What then? I suspect that’s Russia’s position.
We have enough problems of our own without courting them overseas. Zylinskyy has proven to be a faithless ally (if he ever was), Trump has gone above and beyond. Just walk away.

Detour off topic. Who started what over there is not my point. I really don’t give a rat’s 6 where the political line gets drawn over there. Pre-USSR? Soviet holodomor horrors? Post-WW2? Post-cold war? Pick your favorite. *They* care because Sevastopol is a big ***ing deal and politics within politics, but not to me.

I live in the United States of America and am extremely biased against having myself and the rest of the American populace vaporized. What happens to Kyiv or Odessa or Moscow pales in comparison. I’m not a huge fan of Russians or Ukrainians or Europeans at present either but I’d rather they also not become flowing piles of glowing dust.

Contrarily I would remind FReepers of whichever viewpoint that there are groups out there that have overtly stated their intent to reduce humanity to ~500M in population in relatively short order. The virus gambit failed. The mass migration operation is teetering and on the verge of triggering a neo-crusade to drive the 3rd world out. What other card do they have? Oh.

“Your globalist presence here insults and degrades the forum.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What exactly are you afraid of — me?

You accuse me of being a “globalist,” yet you seem to echo the views of regimes like Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China — an authoritarian alliance that thrives on censorship, oppression, anti-Americanism and propaganda. That sounds more globalist than anything I stand for.

So let’s be honest: If you won’t denounce the real GLOBAL threat — the Iran-Russia-North Korea-China axis — then you’re not opposing globalism. You’re just choosing your side of it! Let that sink in for an hour (or more)...

So I ask you directly:

Do you denounce the Globo-Islamo-NeoSoviet-Commie Axis — or do you support it?

Because silence is support. Pick a side.

Nah, dont worry about that.

I’m more worried for Putin having a heart-attack. Did you see his face after that “mini-pearl-harbor” he endured? On the verge of collapse, I would say... He is not very happy right now.

The B-52, B-1 and B-2 bombers are right out in the open at Diego Garcia when they deploy. The defense are F-15 and whatever other air defense. Drones are a game changer.
