Russian Bombers and the SALT Treaty
X ^ | June 1, 2025 | General Michael Flynn

Posted on 06/01/2025 6:48:16 PM PDT by Jan_Sobieski

ATTENTION!

So, it appears Zelenskyy gave the go ahead to attack parked Russian nuclear capable bombers without informing @realDonaldTrump (if true that our President was not consulted nor informed, this isn’t simply a breach of protocol. It’s a geopolitical insult and a warning sign. If Ukraine is willing to conduct strikes with strategic consequences without notifying the White House, we are no longer allies with coordination issues—we are co-belligerents flying blind).

Also given Senator “warmonger” Lindsey Graham’s and Senator “Da Nang Dick” Blumenthal’s recent visit, this attack could appear as though it was sanctioned. I pray the Russians have better intelligence than that. IMHO, these two don’t have the sense or common sense to pull something like this off (there will have to be denials though).

FYI, Those bombers that were hit HAVE to be out in full view due to nuclear treaty obligations. Zelenskyy took advantage of that. For instance, they appear to have hidden the drones in containers and were driven on trucks near the airbase. Smart use of deception (see photos below).

However, imagine any one of our big bomber bases having the exact same thing done to them. Very costly U.S. Strategic Bombers can be taken out in the same way by anyone with access to inexpensive drones, delivery trucks, explosives, and a bit of technical knowledge (not good and new tactics will now have to be developed).

People, and especially world leaders, need to realize the global implications to such an operation as Ukraine just pulled off.

Russia will respond. Action, reaction, counteraction. Those are the shifting tides of warfare.

This wasn’t a bold action, it was brash. Ukraine’s short-term win could be the world’s long-term loss…

If you think Ukraine had any say in the droning then I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

On February 21, 2023, Vladimir Putin announced that Russia would suspend its participation in the New START treaty. He stated that Russia would no longer allow US and NATO inspectors access to its nuclear facilities.

I couldn’t imagine this happening to our parked B-52 bombers on the tarmac at Barksdale AFB. They can be seen in full view not far from the interstate.

Russia is wiping entire villages — and even cities — off the map in Ukraine, week after week, without asking anyone’s permission, least of all Donald Trump.

Ukraine is under relentless attack. When they strike back, they focus on military targets. In contrast, Russia retaliates by bombing civilian homes and apartment buildings.

That’s what matters.

Yet some expect Ukraine to check with Trump before defending itself in a war that’s been raging for over three years? That’s not just unrealistic — it’s insulting.

I just heard on the radio there’s activity around nuclear warhead installations in Russia.

That POTUS was kept in the dark is inexcusable.

Perhaps the Ukrainian AF shouldn’t set up shop in villages.

Shh they’re on a roll.

I don’t know if Russia follows this aspect of the treaty, but other articles say they use these bombers to launch cruise missiles into Ukraine.

If so, the planes are in active use.

A lot of people really don’t grasp that if you wage war against Ukraine for 4 years, they are going to do stuff in return.

Trump has been telling both sides and the world how dangerous this war is.

Also seems a lot of people get upset whenever anything bad happens to Russia.

Maybe. But they also just had plans to all their installations leaked, and they need to move stuff because of what Ukraine just did.

Exactly. They can defend themselves cheaply. Cut off billions of aid and start paying off the national debt instead.

No, of course not. But don’t act stupid. The Russians are fighting the Ukrainians where their at, human shield and all. Kinda like Israel.

How many nuclear-armed Russian missile subs are there? Some are patrolling the Atlantic seaboard. They’ll be sending a bunch more of them to the seven seas now, to avoid becoming sitting ducks. 🦆

Time is nigh for the Pope to emulate Urban II. This time the Crusaders wouldn’t have to travel quite so far.
