I saw them in Denver, center stage, about row 9. A great show.
Has anyone else seen them live? What did you think?
Just saw Jeff Lynne and ELO last year. Still great band, great music , great show. Their repertoire is so deep you can’t expect everything in the concert, but they play a lot of great songs.
They did a tour in the 70’s. ‘Spaceship’ took out a lot of seats. Tour lost money. They were pretty good.
Not, never went to see them live. Some sweet talking woman always talked me out of it, doggone it.
Great song. Rock Aria is my favorite.
Maybe it was an Evil Woman.
I too saw Jeff Lynn’s ELO last fall in St. Louis. It was a great show.
I was sorta hoping they might add Roll Over Beethoven to the show since St Louis is Chuck Berry territory.
They played Roll Over Beethoven when I saw them in Denver.
I just have never met anyone named Groos. That is my problem with ELO.
Saw them live in 1977 (as I recall). Had great seats and the sound was great but I wouldn’t call it one of the more inspirational concerns that I went to. Mind you some of the concerts I went to back then were so mind-blowing that everything else was just ok.
Saw them in Phoenix, Celebrity Theater. The stage was in the center and revolved around so every seat was a good seat. They were great!
My all time fav. band! Happy to see this. I saw the “Out of the Blue” concert in Memphis. The giant flying saucer was amazing. Anybody else remember the “Flight of the Bumblebee” cello solo with the laser light dancing around the cello?
Could be, but eventually she had to Face the Music!
When I feel a bout of depression coming on, I simply listen to ELO’s ‘Mr. Blue Sky’ about three or four times and it knocks that feeling right out, a truly magical song and achievement!
Great song, Great live concert footage.
there is also a really good semi-recent Doctor Who episode that revolves around this song if you are a Who fan..

Good Medicine!
I like that they have a string section.
I once saw a YES concert that had the same revolving stage concept.
Really cool!
1978, Melbourne Australia, best concert I’ve ever been to. They played for at least 3 hours before the encore and did a 40 minute encore⁰.
