Nick Johnson makes very good videos of our country. I’ve always wondered how New Mexico could turn into such a horribly run liberal state in the Southwest. Liberals simply migrate after they destroy their previous state.

My daughter and her husband moved here due to job opportunities. They rented a nice place and things looked good for about two months. They noticed that they were the only Christians and that everyone else were big city liberals from somewhere else. Bottom line, they couldn’t wait to get out. The whole episode was a big mistake. Live and learn. They are in Tennessee now.

Wife and I considered moving to Santa Fe. We both remembered it in our youth of 50 years ago. It was wonderful then. Downtown Santa Fe is the same. The hills around Santa Fe are filled with the uber rich left from California. Between the hills and Downtown is the middle and much lower class and crime, drugs etc.

Santa Fe is no longer the paradise it once was.

The county has a republican club. I check out ‘events’ to see how active they are. Let’s just say there are none to speak of.

LOL! Pretty sure you didn’t need to take a tour of SF did you? Or ABQ. There’s a class reunion for Highland (60th) in August. I won’t be attending. I love NM but no way.

Santa Fe was a mecca for New Age spiritual types back in the ‘80s and ‘90s and I would guess probably still is. They felt its geographic location was near a vortex of cosmic energy that made it an especially spiritual place. So you wound with a bunch of leftist New Agers (i.e. people who had issues with their conservative Christian parents) out there. I wonder if that created a certain vibe that attracted other lefties and the whole thing kind of snowballed leftward.

The Christian community here in SE NM is strong with many church congregations in both English and Spanish. The University of the Southwest here is a Christian school and many local high school athletes go on to Christian colleges in west Texas.
