Just when you thought it was time to sunscreen up and grab a cold one to slip in that pool floaty, you discover something like this:
https://www.nbcnewyork.com/long-island/long-island-homeowner-uncovering-pool-for-summer-finds-body-floating-in-water/6278493/
Yes, on Sunday morning an East Shoreham (NY) resident removed his pool cover for the summer only to realize there had been a dead body floating in his pool for who knows how long.
The homeowner did not want to be named and definitely didn't want to talk to the media, so I'll go ahead and respect his privacy.
Interestingly enough, investigators are looking into whether the body might be that of 23-year-old fugitive Matthew Zoll, who police believe stabbed his father to death last November. Zoll went on the run after the stabbing, crashing his car about a half mile from where this body was found.
And yes, police had searched, last fall, this very neighborhood with the dirty pool.
The surprise twist? The property with the dirty pool is said to belong to a member of the task force that was searching for Zoll. Police declined to confirm this detail when asked by the media.
Regardless, the East Shoreham resident is going to need a deep clean of that pool.
Maybe someone hepped the p0lice with their search. And now the p0lice are all upset.
Eeewww.
Yyyeahhh. That's not the LEAST bit suspicious.
Sounds like the plot of a Bones episode.
damn
i was hoping his name was bob
My guess is that the perp hid in the covered pool until the cops went away, not realizing that hyperthermia will set in rather quickly in November weather and you lose consciousness and die..................
Shoot. Submerge. And shut up.

That part makes sense. But the part about the home belonging to a member of the task force looking for him sounds suspicious. If that is really the case. The article is written in such a way that the home may not belong to such a person.
In a police officer pool? Is it a coincidence?
Probably. The cost of cleaning that pool will be very expensive..........................
Just drag him out and throw in a little extra pool shock, everything will be fine.
Pool filters are expensive.
Pool pumps are even more expensive.
Pool liners are even more expensive................
Nah- It happens all the time.
Could be that someone knew who the perp was and decided to deliver him to the cops in a way that they could not just dismiss the charges.
Ping
My wife says that there’s not enough chlorine in the world.
There isn’t. The entire pool system is contaminated................
Now, iffen they only had TR’s piranha schools in attendance, then only the skeleton would need be retrieved. Well, and the piranha poop too.
Not really. It takes a government employee's salary to afford a pool.
