Russia’s former President Dmitry Medvedev has issued a sobering warning to Donald Trump after the US leader accused Vladimir Putin of “playing with fire”. US President Mr Trump, writing on his Truth Social platform, said: “What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He’s playing with fire!”
The remark drew a sharp response from Mr Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and one of Mr Putin’s most outspoken allies. Posting on X, formerly Twitter, he said: “Regarding Trump's words about Putin ‘playing with fire’ and ‘really bad things’ happening to Russia. I only know of one REALLY BAD thing — WWIII. “I hope Trump understands this!”

I don’t think President Trump is going to walk away just judging by the words coming out of his mouth recently. Unfortunately, there are serious foreign policy implications to walking away.

You are correct. This a holy war for Russian Supramacists of Putin’s ilk. Their campaign to genocidally erase the second biggest country in Europe, a nation of 40 million people, is as “Nazi” as it gets. Nazis only understand total defeat. Now it’s up to President Trump and our allies to deliver that to Putin’s regime of “war pigs.”

We are not formal allies with Ukraine. But we did sign an agreement with Ukraine which basically said "we got your back".
So that's why USA and UK felt obligated to give arms to Ukraine.
