Wife of US Senator Bernie Sanders, Jane O’Meara Sanders, has called for an end to “sending our sons and daughters to war” during a visit to Athy, Co Kildare.
The couple unveiled a plaque commemorating the song “Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye” at a war memorial in St. Michael’s Cemetery outside the south Kildare town this afternoon.
M(r)s. O’Meara Sanders can directly trace her ancestors, the Coyles, back to Athy, of which some are commemorated at the graveyard having fought during World War I.
Written in the 19th century, “Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye”, an Irish anti-war folk song, tells the story of an Athy woman who reunites with her lover Johnny, now unrecognizable after returning from war.

Typical Rat lie.
Trump is still the only president that never started a war. The wars he has to deal are all he inherited. Did Mrs. Sanders complain to Biden and asked him to stop all wars? I think Mrs Sanders should be called Mrs. “Johnny-comes-lately” Sanders.
More cheap virtue signalling.
“Wife of US Senator Bernie Sanders, Jane O’Meara Sanders, has called for an end to “sending our sons and daughters to war”
...except against Russia, and then China, given Bernie’s voting record.
Funny how “virtue” signaling is about vice rather than virtue.
Never mind the actual text reading “Ms O’Meara Sanders” rather than “Mrs”.
For leftists “Mrs” is not seen as the beautiful honorific that it is. Of course, not so beautiful in this case since it requires marriage to the fraud Bernie Ssnders.
