Derek Chauvin judge breaks his silence with explosive interview to admit his 'BIAS' over George Floyd killing... and the note slipped to him
Daily Mail UK ^ | May 24, 2024 | Joe Hutchison

The judge who oversaw the trial of Derek Chauvin has given an explosive interview as he spoke out for the first time in four years.

Peter Cahill was in charge of proceedings in 2021, when jurors spent three weeks listening to testimony about the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Floyd, an unarmed black man, had been suspected of using a counterfeit $20 bill in the lead up to the fatal run-in with Chauvin and three other officers.

Restraining Floyd, Chauvin knelt on his neck and back for what officials later deemed was over 9 minutes, fatally asphyxiating him in the process.

He dropped a number of bombshells during the wide-ranging sit down, including confessing he has a pro-police 'bias' but was still sickened by the case.

He also admitted he was desperate not to be given the job, saying he swore at his boss when the legal grenade landed on his desk.

Meanwhile Cahill opened up about a letter slipped to him by Lance Ito - the judge in the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder case - and revealed it read: 'Peace and wisdom.'

Floyd's death rocked the world and gave rise to a huge shift in the culture wars towards readdressing how black people are treated.

Chauvin's trial was also one of the most watched of all time, and has been heavily attacked from both sides since he was sentenced.

Cahill admitted he felt the pressure from the media and political figures during the case, and opened up about how heavily it has impacted his life.

That documentary is very good, and very eye-opening. Unbelievable actually. The mayor and everyone had already convicted Chauvin in the media; then the coroner finished his examination and said something to his boss like “Well - I don’t know what they are going to do when they see my report doesn’t line up with what they are saying.”

The entire city would have burned instead of just the 20 blocks that did.

“...towards readdressing how black people are treated.”

I know one thing that has changed about how black people treat the police when they are arrested now. Sometimes even before the police touch them they are yelling “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe....”

St. Floyd’s tox report showed several controlled substances in his blood, including fentanyl, meth and THC.
The videos showing him swallowing drug packets while fighting with the police, probably excluded as well.
Derek Chauvin was railroaded. That verdict was a politically correct miscarriage of justice.

Is there any evidence in this judge's history of him having a "pro-police bias?" And, why is he coming out with this now, other than to try to play political games with public opinion again? Did he have anything to say when Chauvin was stabbed multiple times while in government custody?

“confessing he has a pro-police ‘bias’

I’m calling BS on that. You don’t even have to have a pro police bias to see through the lynching that took place. This judge is a coward who allowed innocent cops to be railroaded.

With any luck. his life has been impacted negative for the manner in which he did Chauvin. May he be the recipient of every bad omen in the universe. /p>

Was it this judge who censored the critical facts in this case?

If so he should be prosecuted for depriving Chauvin of his right to equal protection under the law.

I watched 95% of that trial. Pro-police bias, my eye. Cahill was a crappy judge scared spitless by the community in the marxist hellhole called Minneapolis. He surrendered righteousness and justice for “peace” and popularity. Evil judge, evil da, evil persecution team, evil lying state’s witnesses. I’ll leave room for the wrath of God on those bastards and continue to pray for Derek Chauvin’s freedom and exoneration.

(Was it this judge who censored the critical facts in this case?)

It sure was! Chauvin and his lawyers were neutralized from putting on a defense.

The dissection of the neck showed no damage to the neck.

OTOH both lungs were way over the max weight for male lungs.

Floyd could breathe. His lungs couldn’t oxygenate his blood. He was drowning.

The judge needs to be sitting in a prison cell for the full length of time of Chauvin’s sentence.

” fatally asphyxiating him”
Didn’t happen. Show us the coroner’s report, or retract this lie.
