And why should there be mention of something that Zelensky has never demanded? First, Russian withdrawal from Ukraine is hardly capitulation. Second, Zelensky has not even demanded this as condition for the end of hostilities. He has admitted that Ukraine might be forced to accept de facto occupation of Ukrainian territory by Russia. What he has said, however, is that Ukraine would never legally cede the territory to Russia. Putin, on the other hand, has demanded terms that would in effect end Ukraine as an independent country. But I guess that is OK with you.
Patently false. He has said this at various periods throughout the entire conflict.
He has admitted that Ukraine might be forced to accept de facto occupation of Ukrainian territory by Russia.
But he has also said many things that he pulls back from, such as the mineral agreement that was designed to give the U.S. a reason to be involved. When you become known as a person who is prone to lying, it becomes very hard to ever lose that reputation. Putin has no reason to trust anything that Zelenskyy says, or the west for that matter who lied with regards to the Minsk Accords.
How convenient that you ignore that this conflict was the brainchild of those running the Biden Administration & principally people like Victoria Nuland with the goal being to diminish Russia's capabilities and to replace Putin, with no regard of what might replace him.
It wasn't really about saving Ukraine at all. If it were it was a backwards attempt, and there were better ways to advance Ukraine, if that were truly their goal.
It was a geopolitical blunder of epic proportions, and people like you will continue to refuse the truth about this conflict. Even worse, it was yet another failure that not only did not accomplish the goal, but also caused major destruction to Ukraine as well.
