I guess the demands are being responded to. War is hell, and this conflict could have been completely avoided had we just taken NATO membership off the table. but then again, that was not the desired goal, waging a proxy war with Russia was the goal. And why should there be mention of something that Zelensky has never demanded? First, Russian withdrawal from Ukraine is hardly capitulation. Second, Zelensky has not even demanded this as condition for the end of hostilities. He has admitted that Ukraine might be forced to accept de facto occupation of Ukrainian territory by Russia. What he has said, however, is that Ukraine would never legally cede the territory to Russia. Putin, on the other hand, has demanded terms that would in effect end Ukraine as an independent country. But I guess that is OK with you.
