Golden Corral, Waffle House and Popeyes
For reals? Uh-oh . . . my former next-door neighbors (both deceased now) used to eat at Golden Corral every Sunday after church.
I used to love Popeyes, but all the nearby locations closed!
I'm as concerned about the cleanliness of the workers.
I can see Golden Corral, because the food is on a buffet line, and the staff can’t control all activities of the clientele, and Waffle House because of late night denizens. What’s Popeye’s excuse?
What would you expect from a place where one of the side dishes is called dirty rice?
It depends on location....I can’t attest to what goes on in the kitchen,but the restaurant locally is clean,orderly.
Went to a Golden Corral a couple years ago & refuse to ever eat in one again. If people knew what goes on behind restaurants with closed kitchens, you’d probably never eat in a restaurant ever again. Cleanest restaurant I ever worked in was a cafe style restaurant with a food counter & you could see inside the kitchen.
1 Popeyes

every Popeyes I've been in has been filthy. Litter on the floors, tables not bussed, a feel of greasy floors and tables...
Popeyes built a new restaurant near us. We loved it. The chicken was wonderful, and the place was immaculate. Always. But they have closed it to “consolidation operations with another location.” The other location is apparently run entirely by high school students, and it’s pure chaos. Most of the time they get our order wrong.
BK is filthy. Mostly DEI working to them.
I would say that this might be a location kind of thing. It so much depends on who is working at any particular location.
