The list’s top-most distinction went to Johns Creek, Georgia.
Carmel, Indiana, which claims the largest number of roundabouts in the country (150 in total) snagged second place.
My daughter, her husband and two sons live in Johns Creek GA.
We need a multivariate analysis of Quality of Life = f(Number Roundabouts, Number Pirates)
How about that little town Wanda Urbanski always touted? It was about as genteel as you could get, seemingly peopled with southern gentlemen and elderly belles, who only bought high quality clothing that never went out of style, and they wore for decades. (Or was that a Twilight Zone episode?)
Massapequa Park?
But den youse hadda live on Lawn-guy-land?
Fugedaboutit!
Good. Everyone move to New York state. Excellent idea. Stay out of the horrible places that never make these wondrous lists. Especially stay out of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming..... horrible places. Stay away. If you can’t go to New York there is always California, Oregon....
Sayville rates pretty high to many long islanders. It’s very small and highly Mayberreyish and people who are familiar with it very much want to live there. Newsday found it to be the friendliest town on LI.
What was the rating for Lake Wobegon? You know, the place where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.
I can hit John’s Creek with an 81mm mortar from my place.
Anyone who has a brain hates roundabouts. That is why goverments love them. They take two lane roads, put in bike lanes and roundabouts. Maybe 100 bikers love it, while thousands of motorists hate it.
Funny how none of these lists ever mention the most important feature: constitutional carry
I wonder if there are any such lists from media outlets with actual credibility.
Median home price around $750,000. Wonder what the school taxes are on that? Probably well over $10,000 per year
Carmel, Indiana is nice. I’d live there if I ever left Florida. My sister lives in brownsburg which is also pretty nice. Roundabouts are flourishing in Florida now too.
Carmel is roundabout hell. I have great distaste for visiting the place. It’s just not my cup of tea.
Hometown West Hartford featured.
Haven’t lived there in forever. It is where smart money is moving for safety and trendy. Family lived there forever. A sib is moving away next month. First time Family will not be in WH in 140 years.
It is no longer the sleepy little rich town of ice cream dates and movies I remember.
