Maine Gov. Janet Mills will be one of the recipients of the Human Rights Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization. A ceremony will be held next month.
Mills will receive the award because of her battle with President Donald Trump’s administration over transgender athlete inclusion in women’s and girls’ sports.
"I am honored to receive this recognition named for former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, a heroic champion for civil rights and the rule of law that governs our nation and inspires the world," Mills said in a news release.
"Throughout my career as a District Attorney, Attorney General, and now as Governor of Maine, I have fought to uphold the Constitution of my state and my country. I feel it is the responsibility of all Americans to speak in defense of their principles, for the rights of others, and for the rule of law which protects us all. As a member of the generation of Americans who were inspired by the career of Robert F. Kennedy, I am truly humbled and grateful for this award, which recognizes how his remarkable legacy should inspire all of us today."
Mills, along with Justice Department pardon attorney Elizabeth Oyer and immigration and reform activist Jeanette Vizguerra, was given the award "for their moral courage and willingness to act on their convictions – even at great personal risk."

Jack Hibbs, Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills, says that what terrifies him so to speak, is not the reprieve we’ve been given, but what most pastors are failing to do in light of it.
Personally, I think God is purifying the church without resorting to outright persecution at the moment. He’s been drawing and redrawing the line in the sand and forcing people to take sides.
And sadly many pastors and Christians are failing to do so.

Only difference is that in lot’s day, Noone stood for the lord- not even 20 people in the city- in marriage we have a great many who are still resist8ng the evil through legal means, which is why all out rampant sin hasn’t won yet here like it did in lot’s day where everyone was evil day and night.
There “seems to be” a swing back in the direction of morality and God’s influence in very recent years because society has had its fill of the ugliness of sin.
All is not lost, yet. Yes it’s bad, but it’s not nearly as completely thoroughly evil as it was in lot’s day or Noah’s day. There is still a very large remnant of believers who make up the body of the restrainer which still resists and keeps evil from having free reign.

Does this Maine Governor have any DAUGHTERS?
I never was a lifelong Maine resident, but didn’t live there that long that i would have been.. Thank goodness for that! With people like they seem to have governing the state I don’t even want to go there again. Although I do have the hope that many good people still live there as I knew many of them when I lived there.
Hard to believe.
There are many good people there still, and good towns, strongly conservative still. The coastal towns are the ones that have been infested with satanic liberalism unfortunately.
As long as the restrained (th3 church and true beleivers) are around, it will resist collapse- its when God removes the restrained (the true church- true beleivers) that society goes to hell, or rather hell runs amok in society with nothing to oppose it. (That will be the end times where it is said that literal demons will walk out in the open among the wicked- everyone doing whatever they want- Noone to oppose them. It will be hell on earth then, but only for a short time- the wrath of God will correct things, and nations will bow down to christ in the millenial kingdom and peace will be had for a 1000 years.
