Ursula Get Your Gun

No one is going to defend you for free if you are not willing to fight for yourself.

About ten years ago, I spoke with a friend from Austria. They were visiting the U.S. and we had the typical "Second Amendment" conversation that we usually have with Europeans. Then we talked about NATO and how Europe has been riding for free, i.e. very low, if any, military spending. I politely pressed them and they admitted that they couldn't afford all that "free stuff" if they had to build their military. And then the lady joked about depending on the U.S. to protect them.

Well, it may be time for Europe to come to terms with reality. First, they are very vulnerable to Russia today and China down the road. Second, the U.S. wants a fair deal and not provide a free lunch for everyone.

It's refreshing to see that some voices in Europe are sounding the same theme. This is from an editorial on the Financial Times:

“If Europe wants to avoid war, Europe must get ready for war,” Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission president, said in March. Most European countries have finally confronted the need to spend big on rearmament, and started to mobilise the financing.

Now they need to spend the money wisely. They must avoid the trap of preparing to fight the last war, and instead leapfrog ahead in developing the technologies needed to fight, or hopefully deter, the next one.

Thank you, Ursula. Thank you for reminding your fellow Europeans of what President Washington said years ago: "To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace."

So when do you start making the tanks and bombs? Or drones, as the FT article points out:

“Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission president”

Don’t be fooled - she needs an army at the EU level in order to ENFORCE her edicts against the people of the EU, as sometimes ‘undesirable’ leaders (meaning leaders who represent the people of their country) manage to slip-in.

No different than how the Soviet Army was, at times, required to ‘get kinetic’ against Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and almost Poland.

Using Russia and/or China as excuses for the above is smart on her part.

Most euros are parasites. They deserve to get the results of being on their own.

Problem is people do not understand Russia and what the goals are much less how military tactics are being played out. Yes drones are effective but if the Real Estate Company (boots on the ground) does not place the sold sign up nothing is gained. Drones are a support roll in the big picture. This is a skirmish over access to the Black Sea and protection of ethnic Russians in those areas. Ukraine is a sister state of Russia and the good old USA (CIA) has stuck their finger in the pie to disturb that bond to protect the money laundromat of foreign aid. Once SWA for the most art was shutdown it was concentrated in Ukraine. Now enter the Military Industrial Complex which profits off the sale of weapons systems and the media trying to sell the narrative to the general public. This is all to divert attention of the masses from the globalists agenda which one should read 1984 to understand where this is all leading us. Wars are no longer about winning but they do keep the attention away from what is really happening.

NATO and the EU are the equivalent of the old Soviet Union.

Free and fair elections and free speech are dying throughout Europe.

The Russian government doesn’t give a crap about Russians INSIDE their borders and it certainly doesn’t give a crap about ethnic Russians anywhere else unless they happen to be in some location that has natural resources that the Russian political leadership wants to use to line their own pockets.

That’s why Russia still has state-owned enterprises. Nothing has changed but the colors of the flag. The Russian government doesn’t do anything for the sake of principles, or for love of country, it is always what’s in it for the top dog.

I am sure people think Democrats really care about blacks and minorities and illegals too, but like Putin, their words have nothing to do with patriotism, a sense of fairness, or compassion , it is merely a means of keeping people on their plantation where they can be used to screw the entire country good and hard for the sake of the leadership’s investment portfolios.

Russian leaders chose to invade Ukraine to secure resources for themselves. That’s it. No grand crusade to fight evil, no desire to bring truth and justice, or to liberate or rescue the oppressed. Putin’s just a shoplifter who just saw an opportunity to take advantage of western decadence and apathy and shoplift some unattended merchandise called Ukraine.

You don’t get North Koreans and Chechens and so on to fight for the sake of ethnic Russians ... They don’t give a crap about ethnic Russians, either, they fight for what’s in it for their leaders. It’s all pure baloney being spewed out for no other purpose than to befuddled idiots in the West who think in terms of moral equivalency.
