Alexander Dobrindt, German's interior minister, accused the group of attempting to "undermine the rule of law" by creating an alternative state and spreading "antisemitic conspiracy narratives to back up their supposed claim to authority".

Then arrest the Muslims.

That’s pretty much what Paul Johnson said in his book Art, talking about a self-portrait by Albrecht Dürer, his haunted eyes.
The Germans: always moving East & West, constantly searching for shaven women and a good, square meal that isn’t bloody sausages and sour cabbage.
Merkel may have done more damage to Europe than you-know-who. hmmm rant over

Sounds a bit like the German version of our “Sovereign Citizen” movement.

> identified himself to judges as “Peter the First” <

Dumb guy. You can only be Peter the First after there’s a Peter the Second.

So if he really wants to go around calling himself Peter the First, he’s got name as his successor another guy named Peter, then abdicate.

This sounds like arresting the “King Baldwin III” of your local “Ye Olde Renaissance Faire.”

They sound like dangerous insurrectionists but are probably easier to arrest than the Muslims or local Revolutionary Communist cells.

I wonder if King Peter tried to lay a mace to the arresting gendarmes, but since it was rubber, they were eventually able to subdue him.

In the US we just give these nuts a soapbox and a place in the town park and chuckle. Europeans can’t stand it.

Reads like the Republic of Texas group in the mid 1990’s.

Note that the leaders of the Republic of Texas were all shot & killed.

The Hohenzollern House in Germany and Central Europe is still around.

Friederike Thyra Marion Wilhelmine Dorothea von der Osten, pictured above, is a direct descendant of Kaiser Wilhem II as well as Queen Victoria.

I'd probably go with her, before this self-proclaimed Prince Peter guy.

I don’t think there has ever been a “king of Germany.”

Lol! So true.

But the Albanians come up with cooler names like King Zog. What could be cooler than King Zog?

Probably not a bad idea, but the execution leaves a little to be desired. Thank heaven our own Emperor Norton ended the U.S.'s brief experiment:

Norton I., Dei Gratia, Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico, being desirous of allaying the dissensions of party strife now existing within our realm, do hereby dissolve and abolish the Democratic and Republican parties, and also do hereby decree disfranchisement and imprisonment, for not more than ten nor less than five years, to all persons leading to any violation of this imperial decree. Norton I. Given at San Francisco, CA, this 12th day of August, A.D., 1869 (Quoted in San Francisco Herald, Friday, 13 August, 1869)

I dunno...I could swing with that...
