CV NEWS FEED // A woman who left Texas to obtain an abortion pill reversed her decision with the help of the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center, Texas Right to Life reported May 12. Now, her son is a healthy toddler.
The woman, whom Texas Right to Life called Tania to protect her privacy, had contacted an abortion fund, one of many operating inside and outside the state, according to the organization. The group paid for her to travel out of Texas, where abortion is illegal, stay in a hotel, and for her abortion pill.
“She got there, and she took the first of the two pills,” said Jamie Bryant, development director at the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center. “They sent her home with instructions to take the other one after she got back home.
However, when she started bleeding on the plane ride home, Tania regretted her decision. Bryant added that the year before, Tania had come to the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center.
“She actually ended up choosing abortion for that pregnancy,” Bryant said, “but I think it goes to show how even our clients that choose abortion feel like we are a safe place.”
Tania, Texas Right to Life stated, did not know that abortion pill reversal was possible when she contacted the pregnancy center after taking the first pill in the abortion procedure.
“I hadn’t spoken to her in almost a year,” Bryant said. “Obviously, our services and our care for her made an impression because when she was overcome with sadness and regret and wanted someone to talk to, she called us.”
After contacting the center, Tania came in a few hours later for an ultrasound, which indicated an active, healthy boy at about 10.5 weeks gestation.
“After the sonogram, I asked her about it, about what her emotions were,” Bryant continued, “and she told me that she had had a sonogram at the abortion clinic but they didn’t show her the screen and they told her there was nothing to see. So that made her angry when she saw our sonogram, which of course revealed a totally different story.”
The age of the baby revealed that the abortion clinic had put Tania at grave risk by giving her an abortion pill past 10 weeks gestation. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has only approved the abortion pill for up to 10 weeks gestation.
Tania began a regimen of progesterone treatment, which reversed the abortion. Tania’s son, Michael, is now 2 years old.
“Her story is a powerful reminder of the real dangers women face from the underground abortion travel industry,” Texas Right to Life stated. “That’s why it’s so critical that women in unexpected pregnancies are met with compassion, resources, and support — not rushed into trauma by dangerous pills.”

Currently, the Texas Congress is considering two pieces of legislation that would protect babies like Michael from abortion, the website states. The Stop Tax-Funded Abortion Travel Act (HB 5510 & SB 2880) will stop abortion activists from trafficking dangerous abortion drugs into Texas, and The Woman and Child Protection Act (HB 1806 & SB 33) would block Texas cities from using taxpayer dollars to fund abortion organizations.

Prayers up that Tania and Michael both have long, happy lives.
She sounds too screwed up too be a mom. Can’t make up her mind.
