We’re gonna need a bigger...GRILL! :)
Yeah. No. I’ll still be buying my pork from the farm next door, Thanks!
I used to work in agricultural research and always thought modern farms were like concentration camps for animals. No wonder diseases spread like wildfire.
Totally agree. My bride and I have become among those 'reactionaries' who favor local farms, fresh produce and even some "pick it yourself" locales near us.
“Why?”
So the owner of the patented species can charge everyone who produces the patented PIGS. It is the Law.
Gene edited pigs? I’ll pass.
What in the halal is that about?
I am sick to to death of anything and everything being altered and manipulated from the way the good Lord made it!!
FDA Freaking Death Agency
RFK where are you?
this is diabolical
I am sorry I will pass. I wont consume anything like that.
I want all natural.
“In 2020, Revivicor won FDA approval for its GalSafe pigs, edited to be safe for people with the alpha-gal syndrome to eat.
Alpha-gal syndrome sensitizes people to allergic reactions to beef, pork and lamb, usually after a tick bite. The GMO animal was created by removing the gene for alpha-1, 3-galactosyltransferase, which “attaches alpha-galactose sugars to cell surfaces,” Medpage Today reported.”
I have a fellow geologist friend who got tick borne Agal I don’t think he knows about these special pigs. I am sure he would gladly eat bacon from one of them. He can only eat fish and fowl now. We were in up state NY doing field work when he gotit. I was wearing 100% DEET on my clothes and 40% on my skin under them. He didn’t listen to use seasoned Geos who knew the area well had Lone Star tics. Still of you can make pigs or cows with out Agal I am sure he would eat them, I sure as hell would if I ever get the same syndrome.
